Convert tid_range_parser and get_number_or_range to classes
This converts tid_range_parser and get_number_or_range to be classes.
The various tid_range_parser_* and get_number_or_range_* functions
become methods on the respective classes. Then it updates the users
to follow.
The rationale for the change is that this provides better
encapsulation. For example, this forced me to think of a better
interface between tid_range_parser and get_number_or_range, since the
former peeked into the latter's internals a bit too much. That ended
up resulting mostly in these two not-just-straight-1-1 changes:

Replace some xmalloc-family functions with XNEW-family ones
This patch is part of the make-gdb-buildable-in-C++ effort. The idea is to change some calls to the xmalloc family of functions to calls to the equivalents in the XNEW family. This avoids adding an explicit cast, so it keeps the code a bit more readable. Some of them also map relatively well to a C++ equivalent (XNEW (struct foo) -> new foo), so it will be possible to do scripted replacements if needed. I only changed calls that were obviously allocating memory for one or multiple "objects". Allocation of variable sizes (such as strings or buffer handling) will be for later (and won't use XNEW). - xmalloc (sizeof (struct foo)) -> XNEW (struct foo) - xmalloc (num * sizeof (struct foo)) -> XNEWVEC (struct foo, num) - xcalloc (1, sizeof (struct foo)) -> XCNEW (struct foo) - xcalloc (num, sizeof (struct foo)) -> XCNEWVEC (struct foo, num) - xrealloc (p, num * sizeof (struct foo) -> XRESIZEVEC (struct foo, p, num) - obstack_alloc (ob, sizeof (struct foo)) -> XOBNEW (ob, struct foo) - obstack_alloc (ob, num * sizeof (struct foo)) -> XOBNEWVEC (ob, struct foo, num) - alloca (sizeof (struct foo)) -> XALLOCA (struct foo) - alloca (num * sizeof (struct foo)) -> XALLOCAVEC (struct foo, num) Some instances of xmalloc followed by memset to zero the buffer were replaced by XCNEW or XCNEWVEC. New common function "startswith"
This commit introduces a new inline common function "startswith" which takes two string arguments and returns nonzero if the first string starts with the second. It also updates the 295 places where this logic was written out longhand to use the new function. gdb/ChangeLog: * common/common-utils.h (startswith): New inline function. Handle parse number error in goto_bookmark_command
In GDB mainline, the error message for goto-bookmark isn't perfect. (gdb) goto-bookmark 1.1 goto-bookmark: no bookmark found for ''. This patch tweaks the error message by checking the return value of get_number. Bookmarks are opaque to the core code -- by design, the target is free to use any sort of blob as bookmark identifier. The record target chooses to use strings for bookmarks.
