* Makefile.in (LOOSE_WARN): Remove -fno-common.
        (NOCOMMON_FLAG): New substitution point.
        (GCC_WARN_CFLAGS): Include it.
        * configure.in (ac_checking): Set nocommon_flag.
        (nocommon_flag): New substitution point.
