Dave Chinner f648167f3a xfs: avoid nesting transactions in xfs_qm_scall_setqlim()

from xfs_qm_scall_setqlim()->xfs_dqread() when a dquot needs to be
allocated.

xfs_qm_scall_setqlim() is starting a transaction and then not
passing it into xfs_qm_dqet() and so it starts it's own transaction
when allocating the dquot.  Splat!

Fix this by not allocating the dquot in xfs_qm_scall_setqlim()
inside the setqlim transaction. This requires getting the dquot
first (and allocating it if necessary) then dropping and relocking
the dquot before joining it to the setqlim transaction.

Brian Foster b136645116 xfs: xfs_dquot prealloc throttling watermarks and low free space
Enable tracking of high and low watermarks for preallocation
throttling of files under quota restrictions. These values are
calculated when the quota limit is read from disk or modified and
cached for later use by the throttling algorithm.

The high watermark specifies when preallocation is disabled, the
low watermark specifies when throttling is enabled and the low free
space data structure contains precalculated low free space limits
to serve as input to determine the level of throttling required.

Note that the low free space data structure is based on the
existing global low free space data structure with the exception of
using three stages (5%, 3% and 1%) rather than five to reduce the
impact of xfs_dquot memory overhead.

Brian Foster f755503206 xfs: remove int casts from debug dquot soft limit timer asserts
The int casts here make it easy to trigger an assert with a large
soft limit. For example, set a >4TB soft limit on an empty volume
to reproduce a (0 > -x) comparison due to an overflow of
d_blk_softlimit.

Brian Foster a454f7428f xfs: support a tag-based inode_ag_iterator
Genericize xfs_inode_ag_walk() to support an optional radix tree tag
and args argument for the execute function. Create a new wrapper
called xfs_inode_ag_iterator_tag() that performs a tag based walk
of perag's and inodes.

Dave Chinner 6d8b79cfca xfs: rename xfs_sync.[ch] to xfs_icache.[ch]
xfs_sync.c now only contains inode reclaim functions and inode cache
iteration functions. It is not related to sync operations anymore.
Rename to xfs_icache.c to reflect it's contents and prepare for
consolidation with the other inode cache file that exists
(xfs_iget.c).

Dave Chinner 60a34607b2 xfs: move xfsagino_t to xfs_types.h
Untangle the header file includes a bit by moving the definition of
xfs_agino_t to xfs_types.h. This removes the dependency that xfs_ag.h has on
xfs_inum.h, meaning we don't need to include xfs_inum.h everywhere we include
xfs_ag.h.

Christoph Hellwig 8960501191 xfs: include reservations in quota reporting
Report all quota usage including the currently pending reservations.  This
avoids the need to flush delalloc space before gathering quota information,
and matches quota enforcement, which already takes the reservations into
account.

This fixes xfstests 270.

Christoph Hellwig 18535a7e01 xfs: merge xfs_qm_export_dquot into xfs_qm_scall_getquota
The is no good reason to have these two separate, and for the next change
we would need the full struct xfs_dquot in xfs_qm_export_dquot, so better
just fold the code now instead of changing it spuriously.

Mitsuo Hayasaka d0a3fe67e3 xfs: change available ranges of softlimit and hardlimit in quota check
In general, quota allows us to use disk blocks and inodes up to each
limit, that is, they are available if they don't exceed their limitations.
Current xfs sets their available ranges to lower than them except disk
inode quota check. So, this patch changes the ranges to not beyond them.

Christoph Hellwig ce7ae151dd xfs: remove the i_size field in struct xfs_inode
There is no fundamental need to keep an in-memory inode size copy in the XFS
inode.  We already have the on-disk value in the dinode, and the separate
in-memory copy that we need for regular files only in the XFS inode.

Remove the xfs_inode i_size field and change the XFS_ISIZE macro to use the
VFS inode i_size field for regular files.  Switch code that was directly
accessing the i_size field in the xfs_inode to XFS_ISIZE, or in cases where
we are limited to regular files direct access of the VFS inode i_size field.

This also allows dropping some fairly complicated code in the write path
which dealt with keeping the xfs_inode i_size uptodate with the VFS i_size
that is getting updated inside ->write_end.

Note that we do not bother resetting the VFS i_size when truncating a file
that gets freed to zero as there is no point in doing so because the VFS inode
is no longer in use at this point.  Just relax the assert in xfs_ifree to
only check the on-disk size instead.

Christoph Hellwig 673e8e597c xfs: remove xfs_itruncate_data
This wrapper isn't overly useful, not to say rather confusing.

Around the call to xfs_itruncate_extents it does:

 - add tracing
 - add a few asserts in debug builds
 - conditionally update the inode size in two places
 - log the inode

Both the tracing and the inode logging can be moved to xfs_itruncate_extents
as they are useful for the attribute fork as well - in fact the attr code
already does an equivalent xfs_trans_log_inode call just after calling
xfs_itruncate_extents.  The conditional size updates are a mess, and there
was no reason to do them in two places anyway, as the first one was
conditional on the inode having extents - but without extents we
xfs_itruncate_extents would be a no-op and the placement wouldn't matter
anyway.  Instead move the size assignments and the asserts that make sense
to the callers that want it.

As a side effect of this clean up xfs_setattr_size by introducing variables
for the old and new inode size, and moving the size updates into a common
place.

Christoph Hellwig ddc3415aba xfs: simplify xfs_trans_ijoin* again
There is no reason to keep a reference to the inode even if we unlock
it during transaction commit because we never drop a reference between
the ijoin and commit.  Also use this fact to merge xfs_trans_ijoin_ref
back into xfs_trans_ijoin - the third argument decides if an unlock
is needed now.

I'm actually starting to wonder if allowing inodes to be unlocked
at transaction commit really is worth the effort.  The only real
benefit is that they can be unlocked earlier when commiting a
synchronous transactions, but that could be solved by doing the
log force manually after the unlock, too.

Christoph Hellwig c59d87c460 xfs: remove subdirectories
Use the move from Linux 2.6 to Linux 3.x as an excuse to kill the
annoying subdirectories in the XFS source code.  Besides the large
amount of file rename the only changes are to the Makefile, a few
files including headers with the subdirectory prefix, and the binary
sysctl compat code that includes a header under fs/xfs/ from
kernel/.
