Evgeny Novikov 10b2bb101f media: camss: fix memory leaks on error handling paths in probe
[ Upstream commit f45882cfb1 ]

camss_probe() does not free camss on error handling paths. The patch
introduces an additional error label for this purpose. Besides, it
removes call of v4l2_async_notifier_cleanup() from
camss_of_parse_ports() since its caller, camss_probe(), cleans up all
its resources itself.

Evgeny Novikov 06d4d9acd7 media: vpss: clean up resources in init
[ Upstream commit 9c487b0b0e ]

If platform_driver_register() fails within vpss_init() resources are not
cleaned up. The patch fixes this issue by introducing the corresponding
error handling.

Paul Kocialkowski ea1cdb1bb8 media: rockchip: rga: Only set output CSC mode for RGB input
[ Upstream commit 0f879bab72 ]

Setting the output CSC mode is required for a YUV output, but must not
be set when the input is also YUV. Doing this (as tested with a YUV420P
to YUV420P conversion) results in wrong colors.

Adapt the logic to only set the output CSC mode when the output is YUV and
the input is RGB. Also add a comment to clarify the rationale.

This introduces two macros: RGA_COLOR_FMT_IS_YUV and RGA_COLOR_FMT_IS_RGB

These macros are then used to refactor the logic for CSC mode selection.
The two nested tests for input colorspace are simplified into a single one,

What led to this crash was an injected memory allocation failure in

When that allocation fails, filp->private_data is left uninitialized
which media_request_close() does not expect and crashes.

To avoid this, reorder media_request_alloc() such that
allocating the struct file happens as the last step thus
media_request_close() will no longer get called for a partially created
media request.

Dariusz Marcinkiewicz deaf69f5b0 media: cros-ec-cec: do not bail on device_init_wakeup failure
[ Upstream commit 6f01dfb760 ]

Do not fail probing when device_init_wakeup fails.

device_init_wakeup fails when the device is already enabled as wakeup
device. Hence, the driver fails to probe the device if:
- The device has already been enabled for wakeup (by e.g. sysfs)
- The driver has been unloaded and is being loaded again.

This goal of the patch is to fix the above cases.

Overwhelming majority of the drivers do not check device_init_wakeup
return code.

v4l2_ctrl_handler_free() uses hdl->lock, which in ov5640 driver is set

When using the FCP in conjunction with the VSP1/DU, and display frames,

this produces a warning such as the following:

"DMA-API: rcar-fcp fea27000.fcp: mapping sg segment longer than device

We have no specific limitation on the segment size which isn't already

Benoit Parrot 15ae94fe22 media: ti-vpe: cal: fix a kernel oops when unloading module
commit 80264809ea upstream.

After the switch to use v4l2_async_notifier_add_subdev() and
v4l2_async_notifier_cleanup(), unloading the ti_cal module would cause a
kernel oops.

This was root cause to the fact that v4l2_async_notifier_cleanup() tries
to kfree the asd pointer passed into v4l2_async_notifier_add_subdev().

In our case the asd reference was from a statically allocated struct.
So in effect v4l2_async_notifier_cleanup() was trying to free a pointer
that was not kalloc.

So here we switch to using a kzalloc struct instead of a static one.
To achieve this we re-order some of the calls to prevent asd allocation
from leaking.

Dongchun Zhu b6257832dd media: i2c: ov5695: Fix power on and off sequences
[ Upstream commit f1a64f5666 ]

From the measured hardware signal, OV5695 reset pin goes high for a
short period of time during boot-up. From the sensor specification, the
reset pin is active low and the DT binding defines the pin as active
low, which means that the values set by the driver are inverted and thus
the value requested in probe ends up high.

Fix it by changing probe to request the reset GPIO initialized to high,
which makes the initial state of the physical signal low.

In addition, DOVDD rising must occur before DVDD rising from spec., but
regulator_bulk_enable() API enables all the regulators asynchronously.
Use an explicit loops of regulator_enable() instead.

For power off sequence, it is required that DVDD falls first. Given the
bulk API does not give any guarantee about the order of regulators,
change the driver to use regulator_disable() instead.

The sensor also requires a delay between reset high and first I2C
transaction, which was assumed to be 8192 XVCLK cycles, but 1ms is
recommended by the vendor. Fix this as well.

commit 49a56266f9 upstream.

Only ARGB32-type pixelformat were assumed to have 4 components, which is
wrong since RGB32-type pixelformats may have an alpha channel, so they
should also assume 4 color components.

The XRGB32-type pixelformats really have only 3 color components, but this
complicated matters since that creates strides that are sometimes width * 3
and sometimes width * 4, and in fact this can result in buffer overflows.

Keep things simple by just always processing all 4 color components.

In the future we might want to optimize this again for the XRGB32-type
pixelformats, but for now keep it simple and robust.

I've tested both video inputs and the audio interface and confirmed that
they're all working. However, there are some issues:

* Sometimes when I switch inputs the video signal turns black and can't
be recovered until the system is rebooted. I haven't been able to
determine the cause of this behavior, nor have I found a solution to
fix it or any workarounds other than rebooting.
* The card sometimes seems to have trouble syncing to the video signal,
and some of the VBI data appears as noise at the top of the frame, but
I assume that to be a result of my very noisy RF environment and the
card's unshielded input traces rather than a configuration issue.

The Allwinner camera sensor interface has a different definition of

Fix the polarity handling by using the opposite polarity flag for
