Manuel Lauss 474402291a MIPS: Alchemy: clock framework integration of onchip clocks
This patch introduces common clock framework integration for all
configurable on-chip clocks on Alchemy chips:

- 2 or 3 PLLs which generate integer multiples of the root rate 12MHz,
- 6 dividers which take one of the 3 PLLs as input and divide their
rate by either multiples of 2 or 1 (Au1300).
- another bank of up to 6 muxes which take either one of the 6
above dividers or one of the PLLs directly and divide their rate
  further by 1, 2, 3 or 4.
- a few other sources which are used by onchip peripherals and are
  informational.

This implementation will take the clock tree as it was set up
by boot firmware: all in-kernel boards should continue to work
without having to set up the clock tree in board code.

CLK_IGNORE_DISABLED will be removed once all drivers have been
converted.

Manuel Lauss 9cf12167e9 MIPS: Alchemy: add helpers to access static memory ctrl registers.
This patch changes the static memory controller registers to offsets
from base, prefixes them with AU1000_ to avoid silent failures due to
changed addresses and introduces helpers to access them.

No functional changes, comparing assembly of a few select functions shows
no differences.

Ralf Baechle a809d46066 MIPS: Fix gigaton of warning building with microMIPS.
With binutils 2.24 the attempt to switch with microMIPS mode to MIPS III
mode through .set mips3 results in *lots* of warnings like

{standard input}: Assembler messages:
{standard input}:397: Warning: the 64-bit MIPS architecture does not support the `smartmips' extension

during a kernel build. Fixed by using .set arch=r4000 instead.

This breaks support for building the kernel with binutils 2.13 which

vintage for MIPS anyway.

Manuel Lauss 54ff4a1d17 MIPS: Alchemy: pata_platform for DB1200
The au1xxx-ide driver isn't any faster than pata_platform since it
spends a lot of time busy waiting for DMA to finish; faster PIO/DMA
modes only work on the db1200 with a certain cpu speed, UDMA is broken,
and finally the old IDE layer is on death row, so time to switch to

Paul Bolle 88564dda0e MIPS: remove obsolete Kconfig macros
The support for PB1100, PB1500, and PB1550 got merged into the code for
DB1000 and DB1550 code in v3.7. When that was done the three related
Kconfig symbols were dropped. But not all related Kconfig macros were
removed. Do so now.

Note that the PB1100 code in the Au1100 LCD driver is removed entirely
and not converted to use its current Kconfig macro. That is done because
the macros it uses (PB1100_G_CONTROL, PB1100_G_CONTROL_BL, and
PB1100_G_CONTROL_VDD) are never defined. Actually only one of these was
ever defined (PB1100_G_CONTROL) but that define was removed in v2.6.34.
So, as far as I can tell, this code could have never compiled.

Manuel Lauss 8e0d7372f5 MIPS: Alchemy: Make 32kHz and r4k timer coexist peacefully
Now that the r4k timer is registered no matter what, bump the rating of
the Alchemy 32kHz timer so that it gets used when it is working,
and fall back on the r4k when it isn't.

This fixes a timer-related hang on platform with a working 32kHz timer
(the better rated c0 timer stops while executing 'wait' leading to (almost)
eternal sleep) and an oops on boot on platforms without a working 32kHz
timer (due to double registration of the r4k timer).

Florian Fainelli 216d0fded4 USB: move common alchemy USB routines to arch/mips/alchemy/common.c
A previous patch converted the Alchemy platform to use the OHCI and EHCI

to arch/mips/alchemy/common/usb.c which is a more appropriate place. This
change was suggested by Manuel Lauss.

Convert the Alchemy platform to register the ohci-platform driver, now that
the ohci-platform driver properly handles the specific ohci-au1xxx resume

This also greatly simplifies the power_{on,off} callbacks and make them

Impacted defconfigs are also updated accordingly to select the OHCI platform

Later the device driver shows this error:

ath5k 0000:00:03.0: cannot remap PCI memory region
ath5k: probe of 0000:00:03.0 failed with error -5

I assume that the logic chip which usually supresses the signal to the CardBus
card has some settling time and without the delay it would still let the
Cardbus interfere with the response from the MiniPCI card.

What I cannot explain is why this behaviour shows up now and not in earlier
kernel versions before. Maybe older PCI code was slower?

Manuel Lauss 8e36579035 MIPS: Alchemy: Increase minimum timeout for 32kHz timer.
Since a clocksource change post 3.2-rc1, tasks on my DB1500 board
hang after random amounts of time (from a few minutes to a few hours),
regardless of load. Debugging showed that the compare-match register
value is a few seconds lower than the current counter value.

The minimum value of 8 was initialy determined by a trial-and-error
approach. Currently it is sufficient for all Alchemys (without PCI
apparently), independent of CPU clock; only the DB1500 and DB1550
boards experience these timer-related tasks hangs now.

This patch increases the minimum timeout by 1 (to 9 counter ticks)
which seems sufficient since the systems are still working perfectly
fine after over 24 hours.

Manuel Lauss f2711be0f9 MIPS: Alchemy: db1200: Improve PB1200 detection.
The PB1200 has the CPLD located at an address which on the DB1200 is
RAM; reading the Board-ID sometimes results in a PB1200 being detected
instead (especially during reboots after long uptimes).
On the other hand, the address of the DB1200's CPLD is hosting Flash
chips on the PB1200. Test for the DB1200 first and additionally do a
quick write-test to the hexleds register to make sure we're writing
to the CPLD.

This patch removes the last hardcoded base address from the au1000_eth

platform device id; if someone registered the MACs in inverse order
both would not work.
So instead pass the base address of the DMA unit to the driver with
the other platform resource information.

Manuel Lauss b7f720d68c MIPS: Alchemy: Clean up GPIO registers and accessors
remove au_readl/au_writel, remove the predefined GPIO1/2 KSEG1 register
addresses and fix the fallout in all boards and drivers.

This also fixes a bug in the mtx-1_wdt driver which was introduced by
commit 6ea8115bb6
("Convert mtx1 wdt to be a platform device and use generic GPIO API")
before this patch mtx-1_wdt only modified GPIO215, the patch then
used the gpio resource information as bit index into the GPIO2 register
but the conversion to the GPIO API didn't realize that.
With this patch the drivers original behaviour is restored and GPIO15
is left alone.

Thomas Gleixner d24c1a26ca MIPS: Alchemy: Convert to new irq chip functions
Fix the deadlock in set_type() while at it:

The code called set_irq_chip_and_handler_name() resp. set_irq_chip()
from the set_type() callback. That only works on UP and lock debugging

__irq_set_chip_handler_name_locked() avoids that.

Florian Fainelli 9ced975711 MIPS: Alchemy: Fix reset for MTX-1 and XXS1500
Since commit 32fd6901 (MIPS: Alchemy: get rid of common/reset.c)
Alchemy-based boards use their own reset function. For MTX-1 and XXS1500,
the reset function pokes at the BCSR.SYSTEM_RESET register, but this does
not work. According to Bruno Randolf, this was not tested when written.

Previously, the generic au1000_restart() routine called the board specific
reset function, which for MTX-1 and XXS1500 did not work, but finally made
a jump to the reset vector, which really triggers a system restart. Fix
reboot for both targets by jumping to the reset vector.
