Axel Lin ba3bd8a301 regulator: tps65023: Convert to regulator_list_voltage_table
In current mapping table settings, min_uV/max_uV are always
equal to volt_table[0] and volt_table[table_len -1].
Thus remove min_uV and max_uV from struct tps_info.

The table based mapping with table_len == 1 means fixed voltage.
So we don't need fixed flag to differentiate if it is fixed or not.

This patch adds DCDC_FIXED_3300000_VSEL_table and DCDC_FIXED_1800000_VSEL_table
for fixed voltage cases. So we can convert tps65023_dcdc_ops to
regulator_list_voltage_table. This makes the code simpler.

Mark Brown 0e8e5c34cf regulator: twl: Remove references to 32kHz clock from DT bindings
Due to the lack of a generic clock API we'd had the 32kHz clock in the
regulator driver but this is definitely a Linux-specific thing and now
we have a clock API hopefully the code can be moved elsewhere. Try to
avoid getting DTs deployed relying on the 32kHz clock by removing it
from the bindings, grep seems to tell me it's not currently used anyway.

Axel Lin 398715ab94 regulator: core: Support table based mapping in regulator_set_voltage_time_sel
For table based mapping, we can calculate voltage difference by below equation:
abs(rdev->desc->volt_table[new_selector] - rdev->desc->volt_table[old_selector])

Thus we can make regulator_set_voltage_time_sel work for table based mapping.

regulator_set_voltage_time_sel() only supports linear or table based mapping.
In case it is misused, also warn if neither linear nor table based mapping
is used with regulator_set_voltage_time_sel().

Yadwinder Singh Brar 6f0b2c696c regulator: Add ramp_delay configuration to constraints
For some hardwares ramp_delay for BUCKs is a configurable parameter which can
be configured through DT or board file.This patch adds ramp_delay to regulator
constraints and allow user to configure it for regulators which supports this
feature, through DT or board file. It will provide two ways of setting the
ramp_delay for a regulator:
	First, by setting it as constraints in board file(for configurable
regulators) and set_machine_constraints() will take care of setting it on
hardware by calling(the provided) .set_ramp_delay() operation(callback).
	Second, by setting it as data in regulator_desc(as fixed/default
ramp_delay rate) for a regulator in driver.

regulator_set_voltage_time_sel() will give preference to
constraints->ramp_delay while reading ramp_delay rate for regulator. Similarly
users should also take care accordingly while refering ramp_delay rate(in case
of implementing their private .set_voltage_time_sel() callbacks for different
regulators).

Axel Lin 07b9e329f9 regulator: ab8500: Remove min_uV and max_uV from struct ab8500_regulator_info
The min_uV and max_uV are not really used in the code and misleading because
the min_uV and max_uV settings does not match the value in the voltage table.

For example, we have
static const unsigned int ldo_vaux3_voltages[] = {
        1200000,
        1500000,
        1800000,
        2100000,
        2500000,
        2750000,
        2790000,
        2910000,
};

With below min_uV/max_uV settings for AB8500_LDO_AUX3.
.min_uV                 = 1100000,
.max_uV                 = 3300000,

The min_uV/max_uV for AB8500_LDO_AUX3 seems copy-paste from AB8500_LDO_AUX2
and is wrong.

Philip Rakity 2f7baf89d3 regulator: core.c Pass voltage to notifier when setting voltage
The voltage being set should be passed to the call in handler
requesting the callback. Currently this is not done.

The calling handler cannot call regulator_get_voltage() to get the
information since the mutex is held by the regulator and
deadlock occurs.

Without this change the receiver of the call in cannot know what
action to take. This is used, for example, to set PAD voltages
when doing SD vccq voltage changes.

This patch converts .is_enabled and .get_voltage_sel to
regulator_is_enabled_regmap and regulator_get_voltage_sel_regmap.

For .enable, .disable, and .set_voltage_sel, the write protect level is either
1 or 2. So we cannot use regulator_[enable|disable|set_voltage_sel]_regmap.

Now we store the enable reg/mask and vsel reg/mask in regulator_desc,
so we can remove enable_mask, set_vout_reg, and set_vout_mask from
struct tps_info.

Axel Lin 5a6881e8e1 regulator: core: Handle fixed voltage in map_voltage_linear
Fixed voltage is a kind of linear mapping where n_voltages is 1.
This change allows [list|map]_voltage_linear to be used for fixed
voltage.

For fixed voltage, n_voltages is 1 and the only valid selector is 0.
Thus we actually don't care the uV_step setting.

Axel Lin c71c8fd4da regulator: palmas: Fix wrong kfree calls
The devm_kzalloc function eliminates the need for manual resource releasing
and simplify error handling. Resources allocated by devm_* are freed
automatically on driver detach.

Thus adding kfree calls here will introduce double free bug.

The memory of desc array and the pointers to the rdev[] are allocated by
devm_kzalloc call for struct palmas_pmic.

struct palmas_pmic {
        struct palmas *palmas;

Linus Torvalds ac1806572d regulator updates for 3.5
The major thing here is the addition of some helpers to factor code out
 of drivers, making a fair proportion of regulators much more just data
 rather than code which is nice.

 - Helpers in the core for regulators using regmap, providing generic
   implementations of the enable and voltage selection operations which
   just need data to describe them in the drivers.
 - Split out voltage mapping and voltage setting, allowing many more
   drivers to take advantage of the infrastructure for selectors.

Pull regulator updates from Mark Brown:
 "The major thing here is the addition of some helpers to factor code
  out of drivers, making a fair proportion of regulators much more just
  data rather than code which is nice.

Mark Brown cd99758ba3 mfd: Convert wm831x to irq_domain
The modern idiom is to use irq_domain to allocate interrupts. This is
useful partly to allow further infrastructure to be based on the domains
and partly because it makes it much easier to allocate virtual interrupts
to devices as we don't need to allocate a contiguous range of interrupt
numbers.

Convert the wm831x driver over to this infrastructure, using a legacy
IRQ mapping if an irq_base is specified in platform data and otherwise
using a linear mapping, always registering the interrupts even if they
won't ever be used. Only boards which need to use the GPIOs as
interrupts should need to use an irq_base.

This means that we can't use the MFD irq_base management since the
unless we're using an explicit irq_base from platform data we can't rely
on a linear mapping of interrupts. Instead we need to map things via
the irq_domain - provide a conveniencem function wm831x_irq() to save a
small amount of typing when doing so. Looking at this I couldn't clearly
see anything the MFD core could do to make this nicer.

Since we're not supporting device tree yet there's no meaningful
advantage if we don't do this conversion in one, the fact that the
interrupt resources are used for repeated IP blocks makes accessor
functions for the irq_domain more trouble to do than they're worth.

In order to allow more drivers to factor things out into data allow
drivers to provide a mapping function to convert voltages into selectors.

The regulators in the twl4030 can provide some voltage settings

These settings are disabled by default, but can be enabled with

 - that config variable is not mentioned in any Kconfig so cannot

Mark Brown 6492bc1b1a regulator: core: Optimise enable/disable path for always on regulators
If a regulator is always on for any reason then cache that when the
consumer is created and use it to optimise away the need to take locks
or recurse up the supply tree when consumers do enable or disable calls.
The scheduling of asynchronous work for bulk enables is also skipped.

We don't actually check if the device physically supports control on the
basis that constraints allowing status changes on physically always on
regulators are nonsensical anyway.

This is a very common pattern in hardware - it's normal to have some
power supplies that have either no software control or are critical to
system function - so many systems should be able to benefit.

Mark Brown cd6dffb4c6 regulator: core: Provide standard enable operations for regmap users
Since the enable(), disable() and is_enabled() operations for most regmap
based regulators come down to reading and updating a single register bit
we can factor out the code and allow these drivers to just define which
bit to update using the enable_reg and enable_mask fields in their desc
and then use operations provided by the core.

As well as the code saving this opens the door to future optimisation of
the bulk operations - if the core can realise that we are updating a
single register for multiple regulators then it should be able to combine
these updates into a single physical operation.

Mark Brown 4ab5b3d92c regulator: core: Provide regmap based voltage_sel operations
Since the voltage selector operations are intended to directly map a
bitfield in the device register map into regulator API operations the
code for implementing them is usually very standard we can save some
code by providing standard implementations for devices using the regmap
API.

Drivers using regmap can pass their regmap in in the regmap_config
struct, set vsel_reg and vsel_mask in their regulator_desc and then
use regulator_{get,set}_voltage_sel_regmap in their ops. This saves
a small amount of code from each driver.

Axel Lin 8ac0e95d64 regulator: core: Support setting suspend_[mode|voltage] if set_suspend_[en|dis]able is NULL
In current implementation, to support set_suspend_voltage and set_suspend_mode
the regulator code needs the regulator driver to implement both
set_suspend_enable and set_suspend_disable callbacks.

This patch removes this limitation. In the case set_suspend_enable and/or
set_suspend_disable are NULL, the regulator code assumes we don't need to
do any thing to enable/disable regulator when system is suspended and
then will continue to handle set_suspend_mode and set_suspend_voltage.

Currently the regulator core creates suspend state related sysfs entries only
if both set_suspend_enable and set_suspend_disable callbacks are not NULL.
A side-effect of this change is that the regulator core will create suspend
state related sysfs entries unconditionally now.

commit 268a1 "regulator: twl-regulator: Use DIV_ROUND_UP at appropriate places"
introduced an off-by-one bug for setting vsel.

The linear calculation code in twl6030smps_list_voltage() does subtract index
by 1 so we need the vsel++ after DIV_ROUND_UP.

The original code use this trick to differentiate if we are going to set the
voltage to 0 or the voltage falls within the linear calculation range.

Current code already ensures min_vol never greater than desc->max,
which means the variable i always in the valid range:

s5m8767_set_voltage not only implement set_voltage callbacks for LDOs,

s5m8767_set_voltage_buck actually only for buck[2|3|4] when
s5m8767->buck_gpioindex is set.
Conditionally calling s5m8767_set_voltage in s5m8767_set_voltage_buck makes
the code hard to read.

I think merging s5m8767_set_voltage_buck and s5m8767_set_voltage actually
simplifies things. It's easy to use buck234_vol pointer to differentiate if
we need to control voltage for buck[2|3|4] by DVS GPIOs.

This patch reworks s5m8767_set_voltage to support both LDOx and BUCKx in all
