Anatolij Gustschin 2bf75084f6 powerpc/52xx: fix build breakage for MPC5200 LPBFIFO module
The MPC5200 LPBFIFO driver requires the bestcomm module to be
enabled, otherwise building will fail. Fix it.

Wolfram Sang 509a02df44 Kind of revert "powerpc: 52xx: provide a default in mpc52xx_irqhost_map()"
This more or less reverts commit 6391f697d4.
Instead of adding an unneeded 'default', mark the variable to prevent
the false positive 'uninitialized var'. The other change (fixing the
printout) needs revert, too. We want to know WHICH critical irq failed,
not which level it had.

Sebastian Siewior 6391f697d4 powerpc: 52xx: provide a default in mpc52xx_irqhost_map()
My gcc-4.3.5 fails to compile due to:

|cc1: warnings being treated as errors
|arch/powerpc/platforms/52xx/mpc52xx_pic.c: In function ‘mpc52xx_irqhost_map’:
|arch/powerpc/platforms/52xx/mpc52xx_pic.c:343: error: ‘irqchip’ may be used uninitialized in this function

since commit e34298c ("powerpc: 52xx: nop out unsupported critical
IRQs"). This warning is complete crap since only values 0…3 are possible
which are checked but gcc fails to understand that. I wouldn't care much
but since this is compiled with -Werror I made this patch.
While add it, I replaced the warning from l2irq to l1irq since this is
the number that is evaluated.

Please pull mpc5xxx patches for v3.9. The bestcomm driver is
moved to drivers/dma (so it will be usable for ColdFire).
mpc5121 now provides common dtsi file and existing mpc5121 device
trees use it. There are some minor clock init and sparse fixes
and updates for various 5200 device tree files from Grant. Some
fixes for bugs in the mpc5121 DIU driver are also included here
(Andrew Morton suggested to push them via my mpc5xxx tree).

Greg Kroah-Hartman cad5cef62a POWERPC: drivers: remove __dev* attributes.
CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As a result, the __dev*
markings need to be removed.

This change removes the use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata,
__devinitconst, and __devexit from these drivers.

Based on patches originally written by Bill Pemberton, but redone by me
in order to handle some of the coding style issues better, by hand.

Philippe De Muyter 9a32299394 powerpc, dma: move bestcomm driver from arch/powerpc/sysdev to drivers/dma
The bestcomm dma hardware, and some of its users like the FEC ethernet
component, is used in different FreeScale parts, including non-powerpc
parts like the ColdFire MCF547x & MCF548x families. Don't keep the
driver hidden in arch/powerpc where it is inaccessible for other arches.
.c files are moved to drivers/dma/bestcomm, while .h files are moved to
include/linux/fsl/bestcomm. Makefiles, Kconfigs and #include directives
are updated for the new file locations.

Tested by recompiling for MPC5200 with all bestcomm users enabled.

Wolfram Sang e34298c9a2 powerpc: 52xx: nop out unsupported critical IRQs
Currently, when booting MPC52xx based platforms, we get:

        mpc52xx_irqhost_map: invalid irq: virq=16, l1=0, l2=3

Linus Torvalds 5375871d43 Merge branch 'next' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/benh/powerpc
Pull powerpc merge from Benjamin Herrenschmidt:
"Here's the powerpc batch for this merge window. It is going to be a
bit more nasty than usual as in touching things outside of
arch/powerpc mostly due to the big iSeriesectomy :-) We finally got
rid of the bugger (legacy iSeries support) which was a PITA to
maintain and that nobody really used anymore.

Here are some of the highlights:

   - Legacy iSeries is gone. Thanks Stephen ! There's still some bits
and pieces remaining if you do a grep -ir series arch/powerpc but
they are harmless and will be removed in the next few weeks
     hopefully.

   - The 'fadump' functionality (Firmware Assisted Dump) replaces the
previous (equivalent) "pHyp assisted dump"... it's a rewrite of a
mechanism to get the hypervisor to do crash dumps on pSeries, the
new implementation hopefully being much more reliable. Thanks
     Mahesh Salgaonkar.

   - The "EEH" code (pSeries PCI error handling & recovery) got a big
spring cleaning, motivated by the need to be able to implement a
new backend for it on top of some new different type of firwmare.

The work isn't complete yet, but a good chunk of the cleanups is
there. Note that this adds a field to struct device_node which is
not very nice and which Grant objects to. I will have a patch soon
that moves that to a powerpc private data structure (hopefully
before rc1) and we'll improve things further later on (hopefully
getting rid of the need for that pointer completely). Thanks Gavin
     Shan.

   - I dug into our exception & interrupt handling code to improve the
way we do lazy interrupt handling (and make it work properly with
"edge" triggered interrupt sources), and while at it found & fixed
a wagon of issues in those areas, including adding support for page
fault retry & fatal signals on page faults.

   - Your usual random batch of small fixes & updates, including a bunch
of new embedded boards, both Freescale and APM based ones, etc..."

I fixed up some conflicts with the generalized irq-domain changes from
Grant Likely, hopefully correctly.

Grant Likely a8db8cf0d8 irq_domain: Replace irq_alloc_host() with revmap-specific initializers
Each revmap type has different arguments for setting up the revmap.
This patch splits up the generator functions so that each revmap type
can do its own setup and the user doesn't need to keep track of how
each revmap type handles the arguments.

This patch also adds a host_data argument to the generators. There are
cases where the host_data pointer will be needed before the function returns.
ie. the legacy map calls the .map callback for each irq before returning.

Grant Likely bae1d8f199 irq_domain/powerpc: Use common irq_domain structure instead of irq_host
This patch drops the powerpc-specific irq_host structures and uses the common
irq_domain strucutres defined in linux/irqdomain.h. It also fixes all
the users to use the new structure names.

Renaming irq_host to irq_domain has been discussed for a long time, and this
patch is a step in the process of generalizing the powerpc virq code to be
usable by all architecture.

An astute reader will notice that this patch actually removes the irq_host
structure instead of renaming it. This is because the irq_domain structure
already exists in include/linux/irqdomain.h and has the needed data members.

Rob Herring 0e47ff1ce6 powerpc: rename ppc_pci_*_flags to pci_*_flags
This renames pci flags functions and enums in preparation for creating
generic version in asm-generic/pci-bridge.h. The following search and
replace is done:

s/ppc_pci_/pci_/
s/PPC_PCI_/PCI_/

Direct accesses to ppc_pci_flag variable are replaced with helper
functions.

Joe Perches 28f65c11f2 treewide: Convert uses of struct resource to resource_size(ptr)
Several fixes as well where the +1 was missing.

Done via coccinelle scripts like:

struct resource *ptr;
@@

- ptr->end - ptr->start + 1
+ resource_size(ptr)

and some grep and typing.

Mostly uncompiled, no cross-compilers.

Milton Miller 67347eba15 powerpc/mpc62xx_pic: Fix get_irq handling of NO_IRQ
If none of irq category bits were set mpc52xx_get_irq() would pass
NO_IRQ_IGNORE (-1) to irq_linear_revmap, which does an unsigned compare
and declares the interrupt above the linear map range. It then punts
to irq_find_mapping, which performs a linear search of all irqs,
which will likely miss and only then return NO_IRQ.

If no status bit is set, then we should return NO_IRQ directly.
The interrupt should not be suppressed from spurious counting, in fact
that is the definition of supurious.
