Pavel Roskin ef846bf04f [PATCH] orinoco: Remove inneeded system includes.
Signed-off-by: Pavel Roskin <proski@gnu.org>

Remove inneeded system includes.

Most system includes are not needed. In particular, the hardware
backends don't need anything network related. Some includes have been
moved from local headers to the C files where they are actually used.
Includes that have to be in the local headers are no longer from the C
sources.

Manfred Spraul 8a4ae7f2e2 forcedeth: add hardware tx checksumming
Recent forcedeth nics support checksum offloading for tx.

The attached patch, written by Ayaz Abdulla, adds the support to the
driver.

It also cleans up the handling of the three dma ring entry formats that
are supported by the driver.

Florin Malita 40abc27066 [BOND]: Fix bond_init() error path handling.
From: Florin Malita <fmalita@gmail.com>

bond_init() is not releasing rtnl_sem after register_netdevice() and before
calling unregister_netdevice() (from bond_free_all()) in the exception
path. As the device registration is not completed (dev->reg_state ==
NETREG_REGISTERING), the call to unregister_netdevice() triggers

Michael Chan c58ec93245 [TG3]: Fix 4GB boundary tx handling
Fix and simplify the workaround code for the 4GB boundary tx buffer
hardware bug.

1. Need to unmap the original SKB's dma addresses if a new SKB cannot
   be allocated.

2. Need to pass the base flag to tigon3_4gb_hwbug_workaround() or TSO
   won't work properly.

3. The guilty entry and length parameters for

Pavel Roskin 9c8a11d7c2 [PATCH] orinoco: Update PCMCIA ID's.
Author: Pavel Roskin <proski@gnu.org>
Date: Fri Sep 16 01:07:47 2005 -0400

    Update PCMCIA ID's.

Intel Pro/Wireless 2011 and 2011B have the same numeric ID, so use
    strings instead.

Take all entries from *.conf for Orinoco, HostAP and linux-wlan-ng and
adds them with minimal changes (e.g. we don't need a revision string
after a string that identifies the chipset).

Add comments with card names to all numeric entries. Note: the comments
don't and cannot cover all cards, since the main reason of having
numeric IDs is to cover cards that are often rebranded.

Alan Stern b375a0495f [PATCH] USB: URB_ASYNC_UNLINK flag removed from the kernel
29 July 2005, Cambridge, MA:

This afternoon Alan Stern submitted a patch to remove the URB_ASYNC_UNLINK
flag from the Linux kernel. Mr. Stern explained, "This flag is a relic
from an earlier, less-well-designed system. For over a year it hasn't
been used for anything other than printing warning messages."

An anonymous spokesman for the Linux kernel development community
commented, "This is exactly the sort of thing we see happening all the
time. As the kernel evolves, support for old techniques and old code can
be jettisoned and replaced by newer, better approaches. Proprietary
operating systems do not have the freedom or flexibility to change so
quickly."

Mr. Stern, a staff member at Harvard University's Rowland Institute who
works on Linux only as a hobby, noted that the patch (labelled as548) did
not update two files, keyspan.c and option.c, in the USB drivers' "serial"
subdirectory. "Those files need more extensive changes," he remarked.
"They examine the status field of several URBs at times when they're not
supposed to. That will need to be fixed before the URB_ASYNC_UNLINK flag
is removed."

Greg Kroah-Hartman, the kernel maintainer responsible for overseeing all
of Linux's USB drivers, did not respond to our inquiries or return our
calls. His only comment was "Applied, thanks."

Fix bug in bnx2_interrupt() that caused an unnecessary register read.
The BNX2_PCICFG_MISC_STATUS should only be read when the status tag

Add prefetch of the status block in bnx2_msi() similar to tg3_msi().

speed up bnx2_poll() that will run on the same CPU that received the

Brice Goglin 505db03639 [PATCH] Fix smsc_ircc_init return value
I noticed a strange return value in smsc_ircc_init in
drivers/net/irda/smsc_ircc2.c in rc4-mm1.

When reaching the line "if (ircc_fir > 0 && ircc_sir > 0)", ret is 0.  So I
don't see the point of setting it to 0 in the "else" case. >From what I
see in 2.6.12 it should probably be set to -ENODEV at the begining of the
"else" case. The attached patch does this.
