kconfig: introduce kconfig files The Kconfig files were generated mostly with this script: for i in `grep -ho CONFIG_[A-Z0-9_]* default-configs/* | sort -u`; do set fnord `git grep -lw $i -- 'hw/*/Makefile.objs' ` shift if test $# = 1; then cat >> $(dirname $1)/Kconfig << EOF config ${i#CONFIG_} bool EOF git add $(dirname $1)/Kconfig else echo $i $* fi done sed -i '$d' hw/*/Kconfig for i in hw/*; do if test -d $i && ! test -f $i/Kconfig; then touch $i/Kconfig git add $i/Kconfig fi done Whenever a symbol is referenced from multiple subdirectories, the script prints the list of directories that reference the symbol. These symbols have to be added manually to the Kconfig files. Kconfig.host and hw/Kconfig were created manually. hw/nios2: Machine with a Vectored Interrupt Controller Demonstrate how to use nios2 VIC on a machine. Introduce a new machine property to attach a VIC. When VIC is present, let the CPU know that it should use the External Interrupt Interface instead of the Internal Interrupt Interface. The devices on the machine are attached to the VIC and not directly to cpu. To allow VIC update EIC fields, we set the "cpu" property of the VIC with a reference to the nios2 cpu. Add generic Nios II board. This patch adds support for a generic MMU-less Nios II board that can be used e.g. for bare-metal compiler testing with the linker script and startup code provided by libgloss. Nios II booting is also tweaked so that bare-metal binaries start executing in RAM starting at 0x00000000, rather than an alias at 0xc0000000, which allows features such as unwinding to work when binaries are linked to start at the beginning of the address space. The generic_nommu.c parts are based on code by Andrew Jenner, which was in turn based on code by Marek Vasut. Originally by Marek Vasut and Andrew Jenner.
