430da832af block: Mark bdrv_skip_implicit_filters() and callers GRAPH_RDLOCK
This adds GRAPH_RDLOCK annotations to declare that callers of
bdrv_skip_implicit_filters() need to hold a reader lock for the graph
because it calls bdrv_filter_child(), which accesses bs->file/backing.

d67c54d05f qapi/block-core: use JobType for BlockJobInfo's type
In preparation to turn BlockJobInfo into a union with @type as the
discriminator. That requires it to be an enum. Even without that
requirement, it's nicer to have an enum instead of a str here.

No functional change is intended.

de6cd7599b meson: Replace softmmu_ss -> system_ss
We use the user_ss[] array to hold the user emulation sources,

8c1e8fb2e7 block/monitor: Fix crash when executing HMP commit
hmp_commit() calls blk_is_available() from a non-coroutine context (and
in the main loop). blk_is_available() is a co_wrapper_mixed_bdrv_rdlock

d570177b50 qemu-img: Change info key names for protocol nodes
Currently, when querying a qcow2 image, qemu-img info reports something
like this:

image: test.qcow2
file format: qcow2
virtual size: 64 MiB (67108864 bytes)
disk size: 196 KiB
cluster_size: 65536
Format specific information:
    compat: 1.1
    compression type: zlib
    lazy refcounts: false
    refcount bits: 16
    corrupt: false
    extended l2: false
Child node '/file':
    image: test.qcow2
    file format: file
    virtual size: 192 KiB (197120 bytes)
    disk size: 196 KiB
    Format specific information:
        extent size hint: 1048576

Notably, the way the keys are named is specific for image files: The
filename is shown under "image", the BDS driver under "file format", and
the BDS length under "virtual size". This does not make much sense for
nodes that are not actually supposed to be guest images, like the /file
child node shown above.

Give bdrv_node_info_dump() a @protocol parameter that gives a hint that
the respective node is probably just used for data storage and does not
necessarily present the data for a VM guest disk. This renames the keys
so that with this patch, the output becomes:

image: test.qcow2
[...]
Child node '/file':
    filename: test.qcow2
    protocol type: file
    file length: 192 KiB (197120 bytes)
    disk size: 196 KiB
    Format specific information:
        extent size hint: 1048576

(Perhaps we should also rename "Format specific information", but I
could not come up with anything better that will not become problematic
if we guess wrong with the protocol "heuristic".)

This change affects iotest 302, which has protocol node information in
its reference output.

b1f4cd1589 qemu-img: Use BlockNodeInfo
qemu-img info never uses ImageInfo's backing-image field, because it
opens the backing chain one by one with BDRV_O_NO_BACKING, and prints
all backing chain nodes' information consecutively. Use BlockNodeInfo
to make it clear that we only print information about a single node, and
that we are not using the backing-image field.

Notably, bdrv_image_info_dump() does not evaluate the backing-image
field, so we can easily make it take a BlockNodeInfo pointer (and
consequentially rename it to bdrv_node_info_dump()). It makes more
sense this way, because again, the interface now makes it syntactically
clear that backing-image is ignored by this function.

e2c1c34f13 include/block: Untangle inclusion loops
We have two inclusion loops:

       block/block.h
    -> block/block-global-state.h
    -> block/block-common.h
    -> block/blockjob.h
    -> block/block.h

       block/block.h
    -> block/block-io.h
    -> block/block-common.h
    -> block/blockjob.h
    -> block/block.h

I believe these go back to Emanuele's reorganization of the block API,
merged a few months ago in commit d7e2fe4aac.

Fortunately, breaking them is merely a matter of deleting unnecessary
includes from headers, and adding them back in places where they are
now missing.

54fde4ff06 qapi block: Elide redundant has_FOO in generated C
The has_FOO for pointer-valued FOO are redundant, except for arrays.
They are also a nuisance to work with. Recent commit "qapi: Start to
elide redundant has_FOO in generated C" provided the means to elide
them step by step. This is the step for qapi/block*.json.

Said commit explains the transformation in more detail.

There is one instance of the invariant violation mentioned there:
qcow2_signal_corruption() passes false, "" when node_name is an empty
string. Take care to pass NULL then.

The previous two commits cleaned up two more.

Additionally, helper bdrv_latency_histogram_stats() loses its output
parameters and returns a value instead.

    EPERM The mutex type is PTHREAD_MUTEX_ERRORCHECK or
    PTHREAD_MUTEX_RECURSIVE, or the mutex is a robust mutex, and the
    current thread does not own the mutex.

So, thread doesn't own the mutex. And we have iothread here.

Next, note that AIO_WAIT_WHILE() documents that ctx must be acquired
exactly once by caller. But where is it acquired in the call stack?
Seems nowhere.

qemuio_command do acquire aio context.. But we need context acquired
around blk_unref() as well and actually around blk_insert_bs() too.

Let's refactor qemuio_command so that it doesn't acquire aio context
but callers do that instead. This way we can cleanly acquire aio
context in hmp_qemu_io() around all three calls.

bdabafc683 block: Remove monitor command block_passwd
Command block_passwd always fails since

Commit c01c214b69 "block: remove all encryption handling APIs"
(v2.10.0) turned block_passwd into a stub that always fails, and
hardcoded encryption_key_missing to false in query-named-block-nodes
and query-block.

Commit ad1324e044 "block: remove 'encryption_key_missing' flag from
QAPI" just landed. Complete the cleanup job: remove block_passwd.

3d3e9b1f66 block: rename and alter bdrv_all_find_snapshot semantics
Currently bdrv_all_find_snapshot() will return 0 if it finds
a snapshot, -1 if an error occurs, or if it fails to find a
snapshot. New callers to be added want to distinguish between
the error scenario and failing to find a snapshot.

Rename it to bdrv_all_has_snapshot and make it return -1 on
error, 0 if no snapshot is found and 1 if snapshot is found.

c22d644ca7 block: allow specifying name of block device for vmstate storage
Currently the vmstate will be stored in the first block device that

cf3a74c94f block: add ability to specify list of blockdevs during snapshot
When running snapshot operations, there are various rules for which
blockdevs are included/excluded. While this provides reasonable default
behaviour, there are scenarios that are not well handled by the default
logic. Some of the conditions do not have a single correct answer.

Thus there needs to be a way for the mgmt app to provide an explicit
list of blockdevs to perform snapshots across. This can be achieved
by passing a list of node names that should be used.

e26f98e209 block: push error reporting into bdrv_all_*_snapshot functions
The bdrv_all_*_snapshot functions return a BlockDriverState pointer
for the invalid backend, which the callers then use to report an
error message. In some cases multiple callers are reporting the
same error message, but with slightly different text. In the future
there will be more error scenarios for some of these methods, which
will benefit from fine grained error message reporting. So it is
helpful to push error reporting down a level.

7f4a396d76 qapi: block-stream: add "bottom" argument
The code already don't freeze base node and we try to make it prepared
for the situation when base node is changed during the operation. In
other words, block-stream doesn't own base node.

Let's introduce a new interface which should replace the current one,
which will in better relations with the code. Specifying bottom node
instead of base, and requiring it to be non-filter gives us the
following benefits:

 - drop difference between above_base and base_overlay, which will be
   renamed to just bottom, when old interface dropped

 - clean way to work with parallel streams/commits on the same backing
   chain, which otherwise become a problem when we introduce a filter
   for stream job

 - cleaner interface. Nobody will surprised the fact that base node may
   disappear during block-stream, when there is no word about "base" in
   the interface.

b6076afcab block/export: Add node-name to BlockExportOptions
Every block export needs a block node to export, so add a 'node-name'

To maintain compatibility in nbd-server-add, BlockExportOptionsNbd needs
to be wrapped by a new type NbdServerAddOptions that adds 'device' back

bb4e58c613 blockdev: Split off basic bitmap operations for qemu-img
Upcoming patches want to add some basic bitmap manipulation abilities
to qemu-img. But blockdev.o is too heavyweight to link into qemu-img
(among other things, it would drag in block jobs and transaction
support - qemu-img does offline manipulation, where atomicity is less
important because there are no concurrent modifications to compete
with), so it's time to split off the bare bones of what we will need
into a new file block/monitor/bitmap-qmp-cmds.o.

This is sufficient to expose 6 QMP commands for use by qemu-img (add,
remove, clear, enable, disable, merge), as well as move the three
helper functions touched in the previous patch. Regarding
MAINTAINERS, the new file is automatically part of block core, but
also makes sense as related to other dirty bitmap files.
