We now always send a JSON blob describing the migration file format as part
of the migration stream. However, some tools built around QEMU have proven
to stumble over this.
This patch gives the user the chance to disable said self-describing part of
the migration stream. To disable vmdesc submission, just add
-machine suppress-vmdesc=on
to your QEMU command line.

One of the really nice things about the VM description format is that it goes
over the wire when live migration is happening. Unfortunately QEMU today closes
any socket once it sees VM_EOF coming, so we never give the VMDESC the chance to
actually land on the wire.
This patch makes QEMU read the description as well. This way we ensure that
anything wire tapping us in between will get the chance to also interpret the
stream.
Along the way we also fix virt tests that assume that number_bytes_sent on the
sender side is equal to number_bytes_read which was true before the VMDESC
patches and is true again with this patch.

Some are called do_info_SUBCOMMAND() (old ones, usually), some
hmp_info_SUBCOMMAND(), some SUBCOMMAND_info(), sometimes SUBCOMMAND
pointlessly differs in spelling.
Normalize to hmp_info_SUBCOMMAND(), where SUBCOMMAND is exactly the
subcommand name with '-' replaced by '_'.
Exceptions:
* sun4m_irq_info(), sun4m_pic_info() renamed to sun4m_hmp_info_irq(),
sun4m_hmp_info_pic().

If an internal snapshot can't be saved because migration is blocked
(most commonly probably because of AHCI), we had a really bad error
message:

This patch converts qemu_savevm_state() to the Error infrastructure so
that a useful error pointing to the problematic device is produced now:

One of the annoyances of the current migration format is the fact that
it's not self-describing. In fact, it's not properly describing at all.
Some code randomly scattered throughout QEMU elaborates roughly how to
read and write a stream of bytes.
We discussed an idea during KVM Forum 2013 to add a JSON description of
the migration protocol itself to the migration stream. This patch
adds a section after the VM_END migration end marker that contains
description data on what the device sections of the stream are composed of.
This approach is backwards compatible with any QEMU version reading the
stream, because QEMU just stops reading after the VM_END marker and ignores
any data following it.
With an additional external program this allows us to decipher the
contents of any migration stream and hopefully make migration bugs easier
to track down.

If an error occurs in bdrv_snapshot_delete_by_id_or_name(), "err" is
freed. If "err" is not set to NULL before calling
bdrv_snapshot_delete_by_id_or_name() again, it will not be updated on
error, and will be freed again.
This can be triggered by starting a VM with at least two drives and then
attempting to delete a non-existent snapshot.
Broken in commit a89d89d.

This commit adds a new command, '-dump-vmstate', that takes a filename
as an argument. When executed, QEMU will dump the vmstate information
for the machine type it's invoked with to the file, and quit.
The JSON-format output can then be used to compare the vmstate info for
different QEMU versions, specifically to test whether live migration
would break due to changes in the vmstate data.
A Python script that compares the output of such JSON dumps is included
in the following commit.

error_is_set(&var) is the same as var != NULL, but it takes
whole-program analysis to figure that out. Unnecessarily hard for
optimizers, static checkers, and human readers. Dumb it down to
obvious.
Gets rid of several dozen Coverity false positives.
Note that the obvious form is already used in many places.

Snapshot creation actually already distinguish id and name since it take
a structured parameter *sn, but delete can't. Later an accurate delete
is needed in qmp_transaction abort and blockdev-snapshot-delete-sync,
so change its prototype. Also *errp is added to tip error, but return
value is kepted to let caller check what kind of error happens. Existing
caller for it are savevm, delvm and qemu-img, they are not impacted by
introducing a new function bdrv_snapshot_delete_by_id_or_name(), which
check the return value and do the operation again.
Before this patch:
For qcow2, it search id first then name to find the one to delete.
For rbd, it search name.
For sheepdog, it does nothing.
After this patch:
For qcow2, logic is the same by call it twice in caller.
For rbd, it always fails in delete with id, but still search for name
in second try, no change to user.
Some code for *errp is based on Pavel's patch.

These are the prototypes and implementation of new hooks that
RDMA takes advantage of to perform dynamic page registration.
An optional hook is also introduced for a custom function
to be able to override the default save_page function.
Also included are the prototypes and accessor methods used by
arch_init.c which invoke funtions inside savevm.c to call out
to the hooks that may or may not have been overridden
inside of QEMUFileOps.

The RDMA event channel can be made non-blocking just like a TCP
socket. Exporting this function allows us to yield so that the
QEMU monitor remains available.

RDMA writes happen asynchronously, and thus the performance accounting
also needs to be able to occur asynchronously. This allows anybody
to call into savevm.c to update both f->pos as well as into arch_init.c
to update the acct_info structure with up-to-date values when
the RDMA transfer actually completes.

bdrv_snapshot_dump() and bdrv_image_info_dump() do not dump to a buffer now,
some internal buffers are still used for format control, which have no
chance to be truncated. As a result, these two functions have no more issue
of truncation, and they can be used by both qemu and qemu-img with correct
parameter specified.

This patch is a pure code move patch, except following modification:
1 get_human_readable_size() is changed to static function.
2 dump_human_image_info() is renamed to bdrv_image_info_dump().
3 in qmp_query_block() and qmp_query_blockstats, use bdrv_next(bs)
instead of direct traverse of global array 'bdrv_states'.
4 collect_snapshots() and collect_image_info() are renamed, unused parameter
*fmt in collect_image_info() is removed.
5 code style fix.
To avoid conflict and tip better, macro in header file is BLOCK_QAPI_H
instead of QAPI_H. Now block.h and snapshot.h are at the same level in
include path, block_int.h and qapi.h will both include them.

All snapshot related code, except bdrv_snapshot_dump() and
bdrv_is_snapshot(), is moved to block/snapshot.c. bdrv_snapshot_dump()
will be moved to another file later. bdrv_is_snapshot() is not related
with internal snapshot. It also fixes small code style errors reported
by check script.

The bs_snapshots global variable points to the BlockDriverState which
will be used to save vmstate. This is really a savevm.c concept but was
moved into block.c:bdrv_snapshots() when it became clear that hotplug
could result in a dangling pointer.
While auditing the block layer's global state I came upon bs_snapshots
and realized that a variable is not necessary here. Simply find the
first BlockDriverState capable of internal snapshots each time this is
needed.
The behavior of bdrv_snapshots() is preserved across hotplug because new
drives are always appended to the bdrv_states list. This means that
calling the new find_vmstate_bs() function is idempotent - it returns
the same BlockDriverState unless it was hot-unplugged.
