Prasanna Kumar Kalever 6c7189bb29 block/gluster: add support for multiple gluster servers
This patch adds a way to specify multiple volfile servers to the gluster
block backend of QEMU with tcp|rdma transport types and their port numbers.

Problem:

Currently VM Image on gluster volume is specified like this:

file=gluster[+tcp]://host[:port]/testvol/a.img

Say we have three hosts in a trusted pool with replica 3 volume in action.
When the host mentioned in the command above goes down for some reason,
the other two hosts are still available. But there's currently no way
to tell QEMU about them.

Solution:

New way of specifying VM Image on gluster volume with volfile servers:
(We still support old syntax to maintain backward compatibility)

Basic command line syntax looks like:

Pattern I:

This patch gives a mechanism to provide all the server addresses, which are in
replica set, so in case host1 is down VM can still boot from any of the
active hosts.

This is equivalent to the backup-volfile-servers option supported by
mount.glusterfs (FUSE way of mounting gluster volume)

Prasanna Kumar Kalever 0552ff2465 block/gluster: deprecate rdma support
gluster volfile server fetch happens through unix and/or tcp, it doesn't
support volfile fetch over rdma. The rdma code may actually mislead,
so to make sure things do not break, for now we fallback to tcp when requested
for rdma, with a warning.

If you are wondering how this worked all these days, its the gluster libgfapi
code which handles anything other than unix transport as socket/tcp, sad but
true.

Also gluster doesn't support ipv6 addresses, removing the ipv6 related
comments/docs section

A future patch will add support for multiple gluster servers. Existing
terminology is a bit unusual in relation to what names are used by
other networked devices, and doesn't map very well to the terminology
we expect to use for multiple servers.  Therefore, rename the following
options:

'image'   -> 'path'
'volname' -> 'volume'

Paolo Bonzini 0b8b8753e4 coroutine: move entry argument to qemu_coroutine_create
In practice the entry argument is always known at creation time, and
it is confusing that sometimes qemu_coroutine_enter is used with a
non-NULL argument to re-enter a coroutine (this happens in
block/sheepdog.c and tests/test-coroutine.c).  So pass the opaque value
at creation time, for consistency with e.g. aio_bh_new.

Jeff Cody 7eac868a50 block/gluster: add support for selecting debug logging level
This adds commandline support for the logging level of the
gluster protocol driver, output to stdout.  The option is 'debug',
e.g.:

-drive filename=gluster://192.168.15.180/gv2/test.qcow2,debug=9

Debug levels are 0-9, with 9 being the most verbose, and 0 representing
no debugging output.  The default is the same as it was before, which
is a level of 4.  The current logging levels defined in the gluster
source are:

    0 - None
    1 - Emergency
    2 - Alert
    3 - Critical
    4 - Error
    5 - Warning
    6 - Notice
    7 - Info
    8 - Debug
    9 - Trace

Jeff Cody d85fa9eb87 block/gluster: prevent data loss after i/o error
Upon receiving an I/O error after an fsync, by default gluster will
dump its cache.  However, QEMU will retry the fsync, which is especially
useful when encountering errors such as ENOSPC when using the werror=stop
option.  When using caching with gluster, however, the last written data
will be lost upon encountering ENOSPC.  Using the write-behind-cache
xlator option of 'resync-failed-syncs-after-fsync' should cause gluster
to retain the cached data after a failed fsync, so that ENOSPC and other
transient errors are recoverable.

Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing if the
'resync-failed-syncs-after-fsync' xlator option is supported, so for now
close the fd and set the BDS driver to NULL upon fsync error.

Jeff Cody a882745356 block/gluster: return correct error value
Upon error, gluster will call the aio callback function with a
ret value of -1, with errno set to the proper error value.  If
we set the acb->ret value to the return value in the callback,
that results in every error being EPERM (i.e. 1).  Instead, set
it to the proper error result.

Markus Armbruster da34e65cb4 include/qemu/osdep.h: Don't include qapi/error.h
Commit 57cb38b included qapi/error.h into qemu/osdep.h to get the
Error typedef.  Since then, we've moved to include qemu/osdep.h
everywhere.  Its file comment explains: "To avoid getting into
possible circular include dependencies, this file should not include
any other QEMU headers, with the exceptions of config-host.h,
compiler.h, os-posix.h and os-win32.h, all of which are doing a
similar job to this file and are under similar constraints."
qapi/error.h doesn't do a similar job, and it doesn't adhere to
similar constraints: it includes qapi-types.h.  That's in excess of
100KiB of crap most .c files don't actually need.

Add the typedef to qemu/typedefs.h, and include that instead of
qapi/error.h.  Include qapi/error.h in .c files that need it and don't
get it now.  Include qapi-types.h in qom/object.h for uint16List.

Update scripts/clean-includes accordingly.  Update it further to match
reality: replace config.h by config-target.h, add sysemu/os-posix.h,
sysemu/os-win32.h.  Update the list of includes in the qemu/osdep.h
comment quoted above similarly.

This reduces the number of objects depending on qapi/error.h from "all
of them" to less than a third.  Unfortunately, the number depending on
qapi-types.h shrinks only a little.  More work is needed for that one.

Hu Tao c2eb918e32 block: round up file size to nearest sector
Currently the file size requested by user is rounded down to nearest
sector, causing the actual file size could be a bit less than the size
user requested. Since some formats (like qcow2) record virtual disk
size in bytes, this can make the last few bytes cannot be accessed.

This patch fixes it by rounding up file size to nearest sector so that
the actual file size is no less than the requested file size.

Markus Armbruster 5839e53bbc block: Use g_new() & friends where that makes obvious sense
g_new(T, n) is neater than g_malloc(sizeof(T) * n).  It's also safer,
for two reasons.  One, it catches multiplication overflowing size_t.
Two, it returns T * rather than void *, which lets the compiler catch
more type errors.

Patch created with Coccinelle, with two manual changes on top:

* Add const to bdrv_iterate_format() to keep the types straight

* Convert the allocation in bdrv_drop_intermediate(), which Coccinelle

Drop the assumption that we're using the main AioContext.  Use
aio_bh_new() instead of qemu_bh_new().

The .bdrv_detach_aio_context() and .bdrv_attach_aio_context() interfaces
are not needed since no fd handlers, timers, or BHs stay registered when
requests have been drained.

Peter Krempa 4557117d9e gluster: Correctly propagate errors when volume isn't accessible
The docs for glfs_init suggest that the function sets errno on every
failure. In fact it doesn't. As other functions such as
qemu_gluster_open() in the gluster block code report their errors based
on this fact we need to make sure that errno is set on each failure.

This fixes a crash of qemu-img/qemu when a gluster brick isn't
accessible from given host while the server serving the volume
description is.

Bharata B Rao 85c09bc016 gluster: Change licence to GPLv2+
Pipe handling mechanism in gluster driver was based on similar implementation
in RBD driver and hence had GPLv2 and associated copyright information.
After changing gluster driver to coroutine based implementation, the pipe
handling code no longer exists and hence change gluster driver's licence to
GPLv2+ and remove RBD copyrights.

Jeff Cody adccfbcd60 block: gluster - add reopen support.
Gluster does parse open flags in its .bdrv_open() implementation,
and the .bdrv_reopen_* implementations need to do the same.

A new gluster connection to the image file to be created is established
in the .bdrv_reopen_prepare(), and the image file opened with the new
flags.

If this is successful, then the old image file is closed, and the
old connection torn down. The relevant structure pointers in the gluster
state structure are updated to the new connection.

If it is not successful, then the new file handle and connection is
abandoned (if it exists), while the old connection is not modified at
all.

With reopen supported, block-commit (and offline commit) is now also
supported for image files whose base image uses the native gluster
protocol driver.

Paolo Bonzini 24897a767b gluster: default scheme to gluster:// and host to localhost.
Currently, "gluster:///volname/img" and (using file. options)
"file.driver=gluster,file.filename=foo" will segfault.  Also,
"//host/volname/img" will be rejected, but it is a valid URL
that should be accepted just fine with "file.driver=gluster".
Accept all of these, by inferring missing transport and host
as TCP and localhost respectively.

Markus Armbruster 84d18f065f Use error_is_set() only when necessary
error_is_set(&var) is the same as var != NULL, but it takes
whole-program analysis to figure that out.  Unnecessarily hard for
optimizers, static checkers, and human readers.  Dumb it down to
obvious.

Gets rid of several dozen Coverity false positives.

Note that the obvious form is already used in many places.

Bharata B Rao cf7f616b9d gluster: Add support for creating zero-filled image
GlusterFS supports creation of zero-filled file on GlusterFS volume
by means of an API called glfs_zerofill(). Use this API from QEMU to
create an image that is filled with zeroes by using the preallocation
option of qemu-img.

qemu-img create gluster://server/volume/image -o preallocation=full 10G

The allowed values for preallocation are 'full' and 'off'. By default
preallocation is off and image is not zero-filled.

glfs_zerofill() offloads the writing of zeroes to the server and if
the storage supports SCSI WRITESAME, GlusterFS server can issue
BLKZEROOUT ioctl to achieve the zeroing.

Bharata B Rao 9faa574f7d gluster: Abort on AIO completion failure
Currently if gluster AIO callback thread fails to notify the QEMU thread about
AIO completion, we try graceful recovery by marking the disk drive as
inaccessible. This error recovery code is race-prone as found by Asias and
Stefan. However as found out by Paolo, this kind of error is impossible and
hence simplify the code that handles this error recovery.

Kevin Wolf 8ab6feec2c gluster: Return bdrv_has_zero_init = 0
GlusterFS volumes can be backed by block devices, in which case
bdrv_create() doesn't make sure that the image is zeroed out. It is
currently not possibly to detect whether a given image is backed by a
file or a block device, and incorrectly assuming that it is zeroed
corrupts images during qemu-img convert, so let's err on the side of
caution and always return 0.
