Gerd Hoffmann 7477477ca7 spice: add QemuSpiceOps, move migrate_info
Add QemuSpiceOps struct. This struct holds function pointers to the
spice functions. It will be initialized with pointers to the stub
functions. When spice gets initialized the function pointers will
be re-written to the real functions.

The spice stubs will move from qemu-spice.h to spice-module.c for that,
because they will be needed for both "CONFIG_SPICE=n" and "CONFIG_SPICE=y
but spice module not loaded" cases.

This patch adds the infrastructure and starts with moving
qemu_spice_migrate_info() to QemuSpiceOps.

Markus Armbruster 54d31236b9 sysemu: Split sysemu/runstate.h off sysemu/sysemu.h
sysemu/sysemu.h is a rather unfocused dumping ground for stuff related
to the system-emulator.  Evidence:

* It's included widely: in my "build everything" tree, changing
  sysemu/sysemu.h still triggers a recompile of some 1100 out of 6600
  objects (not counting tests and objects that don't depend on
  qemu/osdep.h, down from 5400 due to the previous two commits).

* It pulls in more than a dozen additional headers.

Split stuff related to run state management into its own header
sysemu/runstate.h.

Touching sysemu/sysemu.h now recompiles some 850 objects. qemu/uuid.h
also drops from 1100 to 850, and qapi/qapi-types-run-state.h from 4400
to 4200. Touching new sysemu/runstate.h recompiles some 500 objects.

Since I'm touching MAINTAINERS to add sysemu/runstate.h anyway, also
add qemu/main-loop.h.

In my "build everything" tree, changing qemu/main-loop.h triggers a
recompile of some 5600 out of 6600 objects (not counting tests and
objects that don't depend on qemu/osdep.h). It includes block/aio.h,
which in turn includes qemu/event_notifier.h, qemu/notify.h,
qemu/processor.h, qemu/qsp.h, qemu/queue.h, qemu/thread-posix.h,
qemu/thread.h, qemu/timer.h, and a few more.

Include qemu/main-loop.h only where it's needed. Touching it now
recompiles only some 1700 objects. For block/aio.h and
qemu/event_notifier.h, these numbers drop from 5600 to 2800. For the
others, they shrink only slightly.

Marc-André Lureau 5b1638bc49 spice: do not stop spice if VM is paused
spice_server_vm_start/stop() was added to help migration state (commit
f5bb039c6d).

However, a paused VM could keep running the spice server. This will
allow a Spice client to keep sending commands to a spice chardev. This
allows to stop/cont a VM from a Spice monitor port. Character
devices (vdagent/usb/smartcard/..) should not read from Spice when the
VM is paused.

Marc-André Lureau 79216718f9 spice: merge options lists
Passing several -spice options to qemu command line, or calling
several time qemu_opts_set() will ignore all but the first option
list. Since the spice server is a singleton, it makes sense to merge
all the options, the last value being the one taken into account.

This changes the behaviour from, for ex:
$ qemu... -spice port=5900 -spice port=5901 -> port: 5900
to:
$ qemu... -spice port=5900 -spice port=5901 -> port: 5901

(if necessary we could instead produce an error when an option is
given twice, although this makes handling default values and such more
complicated)

Marc-André Lureau 83f7180227 spice: avoid spice runtime assert
The Spice server doesn't like to be started or stopped twice . It
aborts with:

(process:6191): Spice-ERROR **: 19:29:35.912: red-worker.c:623:handle_dev_start: assertion `!worker->running' failed

It's easy to avoid that situation since qemu spice_display_is_running
tracks the server state.

After the commit "spice: do not stop spice if VM is paused", it will
be possible to pause and resume the VM, and this will call
qemu_spice_display_start() twice. The easiest is to add a check for
spice_display_is_running with this patch to avoid the assert.

Marc-André Lureau 1b63665c2c configure: bump spice-server required version to 0.12.5
Looking at chardev/spice.c code, I realize compilation was broken for
a while with spice-server < 0.12.3. Let's bump required version
to 0.12.5, released May 19 2014, instead of adding more #ifdef.

(this patch combines changes from an early version and some of
Frediano "[PATCH 2/2] spice: Bump required spice-server version to
0.12.6")

According to repology, all the distros that are build target platforms
for QEMU include it:

      RHEL-7: 0.14.0
      Debian (Stretch): 0.12.8
      Debian (Jessie): 0.12.5
      FreeBSD (ports): 0.14.0
      OpenSUSE Leap 15: 0.14.0
      Ubuntu (Xenial): 0.12.6

Note that a previous version of this patch was bumping version to
0.12.6. Unfortunately, Debian Jessie (oldstable) is stuck with spice
server 0.12.5, and QEMU should keep building until after 2y of current
stable (Stretch), which will be around June 17th 2019. Qemu 4.1
should thus be free of bumping to spice-server 0.12.6 during 4.1
development cycle.

Markus Armbruster 9af2398977 Include less of the generated modular QAPI headers
In my "build everything" tree, a change to the types in
qapi-schema.json triggers a recompile of about 4800 out of 5100

The previous commit split up qmp-commands.h, qmp-event.h, qmp-visit.h,
qapi-types.h. Each of these headers still includes all its shards.
Reduce compile time by including just the shards we actually need.

To illustrate the benefits: adding a type to qapi/migration.json now
recompiles some 2300 instead of 4800 objects. The next commit will
improve it further.

between the various types if the number fits other representations.

Fam Zheng 9c5ce8db2e vl: Switch qemu_uuid to QemuUUID
Update all qemu_uuid users as well, especially get rid of the duplicated
low level g_strdup_printf, sscanf and snprintf calls with QEMU UUID API.

Since qemu_uuid_parse is quite tangled with qemu_uuid, its switching to
QemuUUID is done here too to keep everything in sync and avoid code
churn.

Christophe Fergeau 569a93cbbe spice: Disallow use of gl + TCP port
Currently, virgl support has to go through a local unix socket, trying
to connect to a VM using -spice gl through spice://localhost:5900 will
only result in a black screen.
This commit errors out when the user tries to start a VM with both GL
support and a port/tls-port set.
This would fit better in spice-server, but currently QEMU does not call
into spice-server when parsing 'gl' on its command line, so we have to
do this check in QEMU instead.

Dr. David Alan Gilbert b82fc321bf Postcopy+spice: Pass spice migration data earlier
Spice hooks the migration status changes to figure out when to
transmit information to the new spice server; but the migration
status in postcopy doesn't quite fit - the destination starts
running before the end of the source migration.

It's not a case of hanging off the migration status change to
postcopy-active either, since that happens before we stop the
guest CPU.

Fix it by sending a notify just after sending the device state,
and adding a flag that can be tested by the notify receiver.

Symptom:
   spice handover doesn't work with the error:
   red_worker.c:11540:display_channel_wait_for_migrate_data: timeout

Gerd Hoffmann 474114b730 spice: add opengl/virgl/dmabuf support
This adds support for dma-buf passing to spice. This makes virtio-gpu
with 3d acceleration work with spice.

Workflow:
 * virglrenderer renders the guest command stream into a texture.
 * qemu exports the texture as dma-buf and passes on that dma-buf
   to spice-server.
 * spice-server passes the dma-buf to spice-client, using unix
   socket file descriptor passing.
 * spice-client asks the window systems composer to render the
   dma-buf to the screen.

Requires cutting edge spice (server) and spice-gtk (client) builds,
from git master branch.

Also requires libvirt managing your qemu instance, and using
"virt-viewer --attach $guest". libvirt will connect spice-server and
spice-client using unix sockets instead of tcp sockets then, which
is required for file descriptor passing.

Works for the local case (spice server and client on the same machine)
only. Supporting remote too is planned (by feeding the dma-bufs into
gpu-assisted video encoder), but not there yet.

gl mode is turned off by default, use "-spice gl=on,$otherargs" to
enable it.

Christophe Fergeau 06bb88145c Fix corner-case when using VNC+SASL+SPICE
Similarly to the commit 764eb39d1b fixing VNC+SASL+QXL, when starting
QEMU with SPICE but no SASL, and at the same time VNC with SASL, then
spice_server_init() will get called without a previous call to
spice_server_set_sasl_appname(), which will cause cyrus-sasl to
try to use /etc/sasl2/spice.conf (spice-server uses "spice" as its
default appname) rather than the expected /etc/sasl2/qemu.conf.

This commit unconditionally calls spice_server_set_sasl_appname()
before calling spice_server_init() in order to use the correct appname
even if SPICE without SASL was requested on qemu command line.

Eric Blake ddf2190896 qapi: Unbox base members
Rather than storing a base class as a pointer to a box, just
store the fields of that base class in the same order, so that
a child struct can be directly cast to its parent. This gives
less malloc overhead, less pointer dereferencing, and even less
generated code. Compare to the earlier commit 1e6c1616a "qapi:
Generate a nicer struct for flat unions" (although that patch
had fewer places to change, as less of qemu was directly using
qapi structs for flat unions). It also allows us to turn on
automatic type-safe wrappers for upcasting to the base class
of a struct.

Changes to the generated code look like this in qapi-types.h:

| struct SpiceChannel {
|-    SpiceBasicInfo *base;
|+    /* Members inherited from SpiceBasicInfo: */
|+    char *host;
|+    char *port;
|+    NetworkAddressFamily family;
|+    /* Own members: */
|     int64_t connection_id;

as well as additional upcast functions like qapi_SpiceChannel_base().
Meanwhile, changes to qapi-visit.c look like:

| static void visit_type_SpiceChannel_fields(Visitor *v, SpiceChannel **obj, Error **errp)
| {
|     Error *err = NULL;
|
|-    visit_type_implicit_SpiceBasicInfo(v, &(*obj)->base, &err);
|+    visit_type_SpiceBasicInfo_fields(v, (SpiceBasicInfo **)obj, &err);
|     if (err) {

(the cast is necessary, since our upcast wrappers only deal with a
single pointer, not pointer-to-pointer); plus the wholesale
elimination of some now-unused visit_type_implicit_FOO() functions.

Without boxing, the corner case of one empty struct having
another empty struct as its base type now requires inserting a
dummy member (previously, the 'Base *base' member sufficed).

And now that we no longer consume a 'base' member in the generated
C struct, we can delete the former negative struct-base-clash-base
test.
