db1015e92e Move QOM typedefs and add missing includes
Some typedefs and macros are defined after the type check macros.
This makes it difficult to automatically replace their
definitions with OBJECT_DECLARE_TYPE.

Patch generated using:

 $ ./scripts/codeconverter/converter.py -i \
   --pattern=QOMStructTypedefSplit $(git grep -l '' -- '*.[ch]')

which will split "typdef struct { ... } TypedefName"
declarations.

Followed by:

 $ ./scripts/codeconverter/converter.py -i --pattern=MoveSymbols \
    $(git grep -l '' -- '*.[ch]')

which will:
- move the typedefs and #defines above the type check macros
- add missing #include "qom/object.h" lines if necessary

0fe9d90119 isa: New isa_new(), isa_realize_and_unref() etc.
I'm converting from qdev_create()/qdev_init_nofail() to
qdev_new()/qdev_realize_and_unref(); recent commit "qdev: New
qdev_new(), qdev_realize(), etc." explains why.

ISA devices use qdev_create() through isa_create() and
isa_try_create().

Provide isa_new(), isa_try_new(), and isa_realize_and_unref() for
converting ISA devices.

9e58f17270 fdc/i8257: implement verify transfer mode
While working on the Tulip driver i tried to write some Teledisk images to
a floppy image which didn't work. Turned out that Teledisk checks the written
data by issuing a READ command to the FDC but running the DMA controller
in VERIFY mode. As we ignored the DMA request in that case, the DMA transfer
never finished, and Teledisk reported an error.

The i8257 spec says about verify transfers:

3) DMA verify, which does not actually involve the transfer of data. When an
8257 channel is in the DMA verify mode, it will respond the same as described
for transfer operations, except that no memory or I/O read/write control signals
will be generated.

Hervé proposed to remove all the dma_mode_ok stuff from fdc to have a more
clear boundary between DMA and FDC, so this patch also does that.

3c29e18841 hw/isa/isa-bus: cleanup irq functions
The irq number is unsigned; we reject negative values. But -1

a27bd6c779 Include hw/qdev-properties.h less
In my "build everything" tree, changing hw/qdev-properties.h triggers
a recompile of some 2700 out of 6600 objects (not counting tests and
objects that don't depend on qemu/osdep.h).

Many places including hw/qdev-properties.h (directly or via hw/qdev.h)
actually need only hw/qdev-core.h. Include hw/qdev-core.h there
instead.

hw/qdev.h is actually pointless: all it does is include hw/qdev-core.h
and hw/qdev-properties.h, which in turn includes hw/qdev-core.h.
Replace the remaining uses of hw/qdev.h by hw/qdev-properties.h.

While there, delete a few superfluous inclusions of hw/qdev-core.h.

Touching hw/qdev-properties.h now recompiles some 1200 objects.

In my "build everything" tree, changing hw/hw.h triggers a recompile

don't depend on qemu/osdep.h).

The previous commits have left only the declaration of hw_error() in

64552b6be4 Include hw/irq.h a lot less
In my "build everything" tree, changing hw/irq.h triggers a recompile
of some 5400 out of 6600 objects (not counting tests and objects that
don't depend on qemu/osdep.h).

hw/hw.h supposedly includes it for convenience. Several other headers
include it just to get qemu_irq and.or qemu_irq_handler.

Move the qemu_irq and qemu_irq_handler typedefs from hw/irq.h to
qemu/typedefs.h, and then include hw/irq.h only where it's still
needed. Touching it now recompiles only some 500 objects.

ec150c7e09 include: Make headers more self-contained
Back in 2016, we discussed[1] rules for headers, and these were
generally liked:

1. Have a carefully curated header that's included everywhere first. We
   got that already thanks to Peter: osdep.h.

2. Headers should normally include everything they need beyond osdep.h.
   If exceptions are needed for some reason, they must be documented in
   the header. If all that's needed from a header is typedefs, put
   those into qemu/typedefs.h instead of including the header.

3. Cyclic inclusion is forbidden.

This patch gets include/ closer to obeying 2.

It's actually extracted from my "[RFC] Baby steps towards saner
headers" series[2], which demonstrates a possible path towards
checking 2 automatically. It passes the RFC test there.

e305a16510 portio: keep references on portio
The isa_register_portio_list() function allocates ioports
data/state. Let's keep the reference to this data on some owner. This
isn't enough to fix leaks, but at least, ASAN stops complaining of
direct leaks. Further cleanup would require calling
portio_list_del/destroy().

df43d49cb8 hw: clean up hw/hw.h includes
Include qom/object.h and exec/memory.h instead of exec/ioport.h;
exec/ioport.h was almost everywhere required only for those two
includes, not for the content of the header itself.

Remove block/aio.h, everybody is already including it through
another path.

With this change, include/hw/hw.h is freed from qemu-common.h.

d10e54329b isa: Clean up error handling around isa_bus_new()
We can have at most one ISA bus. If you try to create another one,
isa_bus_new() complains to stderr and returns null.

isa_bus_new() is called in two contexts, machine's init() and device's
realize() methods. Since complaining to stderr is not proper in the
latter context, convert isa_bus_new() to Error.

Machine's init():

* mips_jazz_init(), called from the init() methods of machines
  "magnum" and "pica"

* mips_r4k_init(), the init() method of machine "mips"

* pc_init1() called from the init() methods of non-q35 PC machines

* typhoon_init(), called from clipper_init(), the init() method of
  machine "clipper"

These callers always create the first ISA bus, hence isa_bus_new()
can't fail.  Simply pass &error_abort.

Device's realize():

* i82378_realize(), of PCI device "i82378"

* ich9_lpc_realize(), of PCI device "ICH9-LPC"

* pci_ebus_realize(), of PCI device "ebus"

* piix3_realize(), of PCI device "pci-piix3", abstract parent of
  "PIIX3" and "PIIX3-xen"

* piix4_realize(), of PCI device "PIIX4"

* vt82c686b_realize(), of PCI device "VT82C686B"

Propagate the error. Note that these devices are typically created
only by machine init() methods with qdev_init_nofail() or similar. If
we screwed up and created an ISA bus before that call, we now give up
right away. Before, we'd hobble on, and typically die in
isa_bus_irqs(). Similar if someone finds a way to hot-plug one of
these critters.

19d2b5e6ff i8257: rewrite DMA_schedule to avoid hooking into the CPU loop
The i8257 DMA controller uses an idle bottom half, which by default
does not cause the main loop to exit. Therefore, the DMA_schedule
function is there to ensure that the CPU relinquishes the iothread
mutex to the iothread.

However, this is not enough since the iothread will call
aio_compute_timeout() and go to sleep again. In the iothread
world, forcing execution of the idle bottom half is much simpler,
and only requires a call to qemu_notify_event(). Do it, removing
the need for the "cpu_request_exit" pseudo-irq. The next patch
will remove it.
