Vladimir Sementsov-Ogievskiy 9dd003a998 iotests: define group in each iotest
We are going to drop group file. Define group in tests as a preparatory
step.

The patch is generated by

    cd tests/qemu-iotests

    grep '^[0-9]\{3\} ' group | while read line; do
        file=$(awk '{print $1}' <<< "$line");
        groups=$(sed -e 's/^... //' <<< "$line");
        awk "NR==2{print \"# group: $groups\"}1" $file > tmp;
        cat tmp > $file;
    done

Max Reitz 0c8fbfb915 iotests/102: Pass $QEMU_HANDLE to _send_qemu_cmd
The first parameter passed to _send_qemu_cmd is supposed to be the
$QEMU_HANDLE. 102 does not do so here, fix it.

As a result, the output changes: Now we see the prompt this command is
supposedly waiting for before the resize message - as it should be.

Max Reitz 57284d2ada iotests: Enable fuse for many tests
Many tests (that do not support generic protocols) can run just fine
with FUSE-exported images, so allow them to. Note that this is no
attempt at being definitely complete. There are some tests that might
be modified to run on FUSE, but this patch still skips them. This patch
only tries to pick the rather low-hanging fruits.

Note that 221 and 250 only pass when .lseek is correctly implemented,
which is only possible with a libfuse that is 3.8 or newer.

Vladimir Sementsov-Ogievskiy 69f47505ee block: avoid recursive block_status call if possible
drv_co_block_status digs bs->file for additional, more accurate search
for hole inside region, reported as DATA by bs since 5daa74a6eb.

This accuracy is not free: assume we have qcow2 disk. Actually, qcow2
knows, where are holes and where is data. But every block_status
request calls lseek additionally. Assume a big disk, full of
data, in any iterative copying block job (or img convert) we'll call
lseek(HOLE) on every iteration, and each of these lseeks will have to
iterate through all metadata up to the end of file. It's obviously
ineffective behavior. And for many scenarios we don't need this lseek
at all.

However, lseek is needed when we have metadata-preallocated image.

So, let's detect metadata-preallocation case and don't dig qcow2's
protocol file in other cases.

The idea is to compare allocation size in POV of filesystem with
allocations size in POV of Qcow2 (by refcounts). If allocation in fs is
significantly lower, consider it as metadata-preallocation case.

102 iotest changed, as our detector can't detect shrinked file as
metadata-preallocation, which don't seem to be wrong, as with metadata
preallocation we always have valid file length.

Two other iotests have a slight change in their QMP output sequence:
Active 'block-commit' returns earlier because the job coroutine yields
earlier on a blocking operation. This operation is loading the refcount
blocks in qcow2_detect_metadata_preallocation().

Thomas Huth b3763a195c tests/qemu-iotests: Remove the "_supported_os Linux" line from many tests
A lot of tests run fine on FreeBSD and macOS, too - the limitation
to Linux here was likely just copied-and-pasted from other tests.
Thus remove the "_supported_os Linux" line from tests that run
successful in our CI pipelines on FreeBSD and macOS.

Philippe Mathieu-Daudé 11a82d1429 qemu-iotests: Improve portability by searching bash in the $PATH
Bash is not always installed as /bin/bash. In particular on OpenBSD,
the package installs it in /usr/local/bin.
Use the 'env' shebang to search bash in the $PATH.

Patch created mechanically by running:

Mao Zhongyi bf22957309 qemu-iotests: remove unused variable 'here'

git grep '\$here' tests/qemu-iotests

has 0 hits, which means we are setting a variable that has
no use. It appears that commit e8f8624d removed the last
use. So execute the following cmd to remove all of
the 'here=...' lines as dead code.

sed -i '/^here=/d' $(git grep -l '^here=' tests/qemu-iotests)

Max Reitz 6bfc907dee qemu-iotests: Fix locking issue in 102
102 truncates a qcow2 file (the raw file) on purpose while a VM is
running. However, image locking will usually prevent exactly this.

The fact that most people have not noticed until now (I suppose you may
have seen sporadic failures, but not taken them too seriously, like me)
further shows that this truncation is actually not really done
concurrently, but that the VM is still starting up by this point and has
not yet opened the image. Remedy this by waiting for the monitor shell
to appear before the qemu-img invocation so we know the VM is up.

Jeff Cody ecfa185400 qemu-iotests: _cleanup_qemu must be called on exit
For the tests that use the common.qemu functions for running a QEMU
process, _cleanup_qemu must be called in the exit function.

If it is not, if the qemu process aborts, then not all of the droppings
are cleaned up (e.g. pidfile, fifos).

This updates those tests that did not have a cleanup in qemu-iotests.

(I swapped spaces for tabs in test 102 as well)
