Currently I am not aware of any open source smart-tv software. If you are aware of any, please open a Pull Request or an issue.
The following software are not **Operating Systems**, but are apps that can be used on almost any OS. These apps will respect your privacy. A recommended way to use this would be to set up a [RaspberryPi 4](https://www.raspberrypi.com/products/raspberry-pi-4-model-b/) connected to your TV with a GNU/Linux operating system, install something like [KDEConnect](https://kdeconnect.kde.org/) to control media from your phone, and install the following apps:
