Sounds kind of sketchy, right? Well, there actually isn't any malice in that. That's there because of the way federation works. When you post something it gets federated to other servers on the fediverse. In essence, I'm distributing your intellectual property to other servers all around the world. Some instances might use an API to automatically translate text, images that get uploaded have EXIF data removed for privacy which could be seen as an adaptation, reposts/boosts/retweets could be seen as a reproduction, etc. That's why that is in there.

We may also collect information how the Service is accessed and used ("Usage Data"). This Usage Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
This is just standard stuff in web server logs. It's really only for diagnostics and troubleshooting. It's not tracking in the traditional sense like advertisements or Google Analytics.
