bfd_cleanup for object_p

The object_p (and archive_p, core_file_p) functions are not supposed
to have any target specific malloc'd memory attached to the bfd on
their return. This should be obvious on a failure return, but it's
also true for a successful return. The reason is that even though the
object_p recognises the file, that particular target may not be used
and thus the bfd won't be closed calling close_and_cleanup for the
target that allocated the memory.
It turns out that the object_p bfd_target* return value isn't needed.
In all cases except ld/plugin.c the target is abfd->xvec and with
ld/plugin.c the target isn't used. So this patch returns a cleanup
function from object_p instead, called in bfd_check_format_matches to
tidy the bfd before trying a different target match. The only cleanup
that does anything at this stage is the alpha-vms one.

PR25569, PDP11 ld -s clobbers last data byte
...
This patch fixes an ancient wart in aout support, in that text and
data section sizes are rounded up for alignment rather that just the
corresponding header sizes. Changing section sizes could conceivably
result in buffer overflows if section contents were held in memory.
Also, keeping the original section sizes allows this PR to be fixed
nicely.

Some minor tidies. Allocating memory for internal relocs and symbols
after reading external relocs is slightly better with fuzzed files.
You can at least do something about silly sizes that way.

bfd_size_type to size_t

bfd_size_type was invented a long time ago in the K&R days. Many
places in binutils ought to be using size_t instead (and there are
lots of places that use long or unsigned long that really ought to use
size_t too). Note that you can't change everything over to size_t: A
32-bit host needs a larger type than size_t to support reading and
processing of 64-bit ELF object files. This patch just tidies some
of the more obvious uses of bfd_size_type that could be size_t. There
no doubt are more lurking in the source. Incidentally, practically
all functions used for output of object files can use size_t and don't
need to worry about overflow of size expressions. If you have
something like
symcount * sizeof (void *)
when symcount is counting symbols already in memory then you know that
this expression can't overflow since the size of a symbol in memory is
larger by far than that of a pointer.

bfd_section_* macros

This large patch removes the unnecessary bfd parameter from various
bfd section macros and functions. The bfd is hardly ever used and if
needed for the bfd_set_section_* or bfd_rename_section functions can
be found via section->owner except for the com, und, abs, and ind
std_section special sections. Those sections shouldn't be modified
anyway.
The patch also removes various bfd_get_section_<field> macros,
replacing their use with bfd_section_<field>, and adds
bfd_set_section_lma. I've also fixed a minor bug in gas where
compressed section renaming was done directly rather than calling
bfd_rename_section. This would have broken bfd_get_section_by_name
and similar functions, but that hardly mattered at such a late stage
in gas processing.

Nonsense error messages on invalid aout string offset
...
translate_symbol_table returns false on detecting an out of range name
string offset, hooray for error checking, but doesn't set bfd_error or
print a useful error. bfd_error therefore contains whatever it had
previously, in my testing, bfd_error_system_call. So the error
printed depended on errno.

bfd,opcodes: sparc: new opcode v9{c,d,e,v,m} architectures and bfd machine numbers.

This patch adds support for the opcode architectures
SPARC_OPCODE_ARCH_V9{C,D,E,V,M} and its associated BFD machine numbers
bfd_mach_sparc_v9{c,d,e,v,m} and bfd_mach_sparc_v8plus{c,d,e,v,m}.
Note that for arches up to v9b (UltraSPARC III), the detection of the
BFD machine type was based on the bits in the e_machine field of the ELF
header. However, there are no more available bits in that field, so
this patch takes the approach of using the hardware capabilities stored
in the object attributes HWCAPS/HWCAPS2 in order to characterize the
machine the object was built for.

Return void from linker callbacks
...
The ldmain.c implementation of these linker callback functions always
return true, so any code handling a false return is dead. What's
more, some of the bfd backends abort if ever a false return is seen,
and there seems to be some confusion in gdb's compile-object-load.c.
The return value was never meant to be "oh yes, a multiple_definition
error occurred", but rather "out of memory or other catastrophic
failure".
This patch removes the status return on the callbacks that always
return true. I kept the return status for "notice" because that one
does happen to need to return "out of memory".

Add output_type to bfd_link_info

The "shared" field in bfd_link_info is set for both DSO and and PIE.
There are separate fields for executable and relocatable outputs. This
patch adds an "output_type" field:

and a "pic" field to bfd_link_info to replace shared, executable and
relocatable fields so that we can use the "output_type" field to check

(bfd_coff_internal_syment_name): Check read in string offset
against length of string table.
(build_debug_section): Return a pointer to the section used.
(_bfd_coff_read_string_table): Store the length of the string
table in the coff_tdata structure.
(bfd_coff_free_symbols): Set the length of the string table to
zero when it is freed.
(coff_get_normalized_symtab): Check offsets against string table
or data table lengths as appropriate.
* cofflink.c (_bfd_coff_link_input_bfd): Check offset against
length of string table.
* compress.c (bfd_get_full_section_contents): Check computed size
against the size of the file.
* libcoff-in.h (obj_coff_strings_len): Define.
(struct coff_tdata): Add strings_len field.
* libcoff.h: Regenerate.
* peXXigen.c (pe_print_debugdata): Do not attempt to print the
data if the debug section is too small.
* xcofflink.c (xcoff_link_input_bfd): Check offset against
length of string table.
