build_same_sized_truth_vector_type was confusingly named, since for SVE and AVX512 the returned vector isn't the same byte size (although it does have the same number of elements). What it really returns is the "truth" vector type for a given data vector type. The more general truth_type_for provides the same thing when passed a vector and IMO has a more descriptive name, so this patch replaces all uses of build_same_sized_truth_vector_type with that. It does the same for a call to build_truth_vector_type, leaving truth_type_for itself as the only remaining caller. It's then more natural to pass build_truth_vector_type the original vector type rather than its size and nunits, especially since the given size isn't the size of the returned vector. This in turn allows a future patch to simplify the interface of get_mask_mode. Doing this also fixes a bug in which truth_type_for would pass a size of zero for BLKmode vector types. 2019-11-14 Richard Sandiford <richard.sandiford@arm.com> gcc/ * tree.h (build_truth_vector_type): Delete. This directory contains the GNU Compiler Collection (GCC). The GNU Compiler Collection is free software. See the files whose names start with COPYING for copying permission. The manuals, and some of the runtime libraries, are under different terms; see the individual source files for details. The directory INSTALL contains copies of the installation information as HTML and plain text. The source of this information is gcc/doc/install.texi. The installation information includes details of what is included in the GCC sources and what files GCC installs. See the file gcc/doc/gcc.texi (together with other files that it includes) for usage and porting information. An online readable version of the manual is in the files gcc/doc/gcc.info*. See http://gcc.gnu.org/bugs/ for how to report bugs usefully. Copyright years on GCC source files may be listed using range notation, e.g., 1987-2012, indicating that every year in the range, inclusive, is a copyrightable year that could otherwise be listed individually.
