There is a bug in keypad_probe() where we do:

if (kp->irq_press < 0 || kp->irq_release < 0) {
The problem is that these irq variables are unsigned so the error
handling doesn't work. I've changed them to signed values.

This adds a driver for touchscreens using the zforce infrared
technology from Neonode connected via i2c to the host system.
It supports multitouch with up to two fingers and tracking of the
contacts in hardware.

Renesas ARM platforms are transitioning from single-platform to
multi-platform kernels using the new ARCH_SHMOBILE_MULTI. Make the
driver available on all ARM platforms to enable it on both ARCH_SHMOBILE
and ARCH_SHMOBILE_MULTI, and increase build testing coverage with
COMPILE_TEST.

Moust (if not all) modern software, including X, uses /dev/eventX rather than
the legacy /dev/mouseX devices. It therefore makes sense for general-purpose
(distro) kernels to use MOUSEDV=m (or even n), so let's drop the EXPERT=y
requirement.

There is plenty of consumer hardware (e.g., mac books) that does not use AT
keyboards or PS/2 mice. It therefore makes sense for distro kernels to
build the related drivers as modules to avoid loading them on hardware that
does not need them. As such, these options should no longer be protected by
EXPERT.
Moreover, building these drivers as modules gets rid of the following ugly
error during boot:

This allows the module to be autoloaded in the common case.
In order to work on non-PnP systems the module should be compiled in or
loaded unconditionally at boot (c.f. modules-load.d(5)), as before.

evdev always tries to allocate the event buffer for clients using
kzalloc rather than vmalloc, presumably to avoid mapping overhead where
possible. However, drivers like bcm5974, which claims support for
reporting 16 fingers simultaneously, can have an extraordinarily large
buffer. The resultant contiguous order-4 allocation attempt fails due
to fragmentation, and the device is thus unusable until reboot.
Try kzalloc if we can to avoid the mapping overhead, but if that fails,
fall back to vzalloc.

If hardware (or firmware) detects palm on the surface of the device it does
not mean that the data packet is bad from the protocol standpoint. Instead
of reporting PSMOUSE_BAD_DATA in this case simply threat it as if nothing
touches the surface.

This patch adds a PWM dependency to configure the INPUT_MAX8997_HAPTIC
and INPUT_PWM_BEEPER. Without this patch, build system can lead to build
failure. This was observed during randconfig testing, in which
INPUT_MAX8997_HAPTIC or INPUT_PWM_BEEPER was enabled w/o PWM being
enabled, leading to the following errors:

It wasn't really clear from the gamepad-API description how ABS values are
mapped exactly. Clarify that negative is left/up and positive is
right/down. Unfortunately, this means I screwed up the Wii U ProController
ABI. Anyhow, this just means we continue to have 0 compatible gamepad
drivers in the kernel. User-space needs to fix them up, anyway, as all
other gamepads are also incompatible.

1) The resume part of user space driven hibernation (s2disk) is now
broken after the change that moved the creation of memory bitmaps
to after the freezing of tasks, because I forgot that the resume
utility loaded the image before freezing tasks and needed the
bitmaps for that. The fix adds special handling for that case.
2) One of recent commits changed the export of acpi_bus_get_device()
to EXPORT_SYMBOL_GPL(), which was technically correct but broke
existing binary modules using that function including one in
particularly widespread use. Change it back to EXPORT_SYMBOL().
3) The intel_pstate driver sometimes fails to disable turbo if its
no_turbo sysfs attribute is set. Fix from Srinivas Pandruvada.
4) One of recent cpufreq fixes forgot to update a check in cpufreq-cpu0
which still (incorrectly) treats non-NULL as non-error. Fix from
Philipp Zabel.
5) The SPEAr cpufreq driver uses a wrong variable type in one place
preventing it from catching errors returned by one of the functions
called by it. Fix from Sachin Kamat.

free_device rcu callback, scheduled from btrfs_rm_dev_replace_srcdev,
can be processed before btrfs_scratch_superblock is called, which would
result in a use-after-free on btrfs_device contents. Fix this by
zeroing the superblock before the rcu callback is registered.

The current implementation of worker threads in Btrfs has races in
worker stopping code, which cause all kinds of panics and lockups when
running btrfs/011 xfstest in a loop. The problem is that
btrfs_stop_workers is unsynchronized with respect to check_idle_worker,
check_busy_worker and __btrfs_start_workers.
E.g., check_idle_worker race flow:
btrfs_stop_workers(): check_idle_worker(aworker):
- grabs the lock
- splices the idle list into the
working list
- removes the first worker from the
working list
- releases the lock to wait for
its kthread's completion
- grabs the lock
- if aworker is on the working list,
moves aworker from the working list
to the idle list
- releases the lock
- grabs the lock
- puts the worker
- removes the second worker from the
working list
......
btrfs_stop_workers returns, aworker is on the idle list
FS is umounted, memory is freed
......
aworker is waken up, fireworks ensue
With this applied, I wasn't able to trigger the problem in 48 hours,
whereas previously I could reliably reproduce at least one of these
races within an hour.
