abfcd2760b dma-helpers: prevent dma_blk_cb() vs dma_aio_cancel() race
dma_blk_cb() only takes the AioContext lock around ->io_func(). That
means the rest of dma_blk_cb() is not protected. In particular, the
DMAAIOCB field accesses happen outside the lock.

There is a race when the main loop thread holds the AioContext lock and
invokes scsi_device_purge_requests() -> bdrv_aio_cancel() ->
dma_aio_cancel() while an IOThread executes dma_blk_cb(). The dbs->acb
field determines how cancellation proceeds. If dma_aio_cancel() sees
dbs->acb == NULL while dma_blk_cb() is still running, the request can be
completed twice (-ECANCELED and the actual return value).

The following assertion can occur with virtio-scsi when an IOThread is
used:

  ../hw/scsi/scsi-disk.c:368: scsi_dma_complete: Assertion `r->req.aiocb != NULL' failed.

Fix the race by holding the AioContext across dma_blk_cb(). Now
dma_aio_cancel() under the AioContext lock will not see
inconsistent/intermediate states.

b21e238037 Use g_new() & friends where that makes obvious sense
g_new(T, n) is neater than g_malloc(sizeof(T) * n).  It's also safer,
for two reasons. One, it catches multiplication overflowing size_t.
Two, it returns T * rather than void *, which lets the compiler catch
more type errors.

This commit only touches allocations with size arguments of the form
sizeof(T).

Patch created mechanically with:

    $ spatch --in-place --sp-file scripts/coccinelle/use-g_new-etc.cocci \
	     --macro-file scripts/cocci-macro-file.h FILES...

75f01c68b5 exec/memory: Extract address_space_set() from dma_memory_set()
dma_memory_set() does a DMA barrier, set the address space with
a constant value. The constant value filling code is not specific
to DMA and can be used for AddressSpace. Extract it as a new
helper: address_space_set().

f02b664aad hw/dma: Let dma_buf_read() / dma_buf_write() propagate MemTxResult
Since commit 292e13142d, dma_buf_rw() returns a MemTxResult type.
Do not discard it, return it to the caller. Pass the previously
returned value (the QEMUSGList residual size, which was rarely used)
as an optional argument.

With this new API, SCSIRequest::residual might now be accessed via
a pointer. Since the size_t type does not have the same size on
32 and 64-bit host architectures, convert it to a uint64_t, which
is big enough to hold the residual size, and the type is constant
on both 32/64-bit hosts.

Update the few dma_buf_read() / dma_buf_write() callers to the new
API.

bfa30f3903 hw/dma: Use dma_addr_t type definition when relevant
Update the obvious places where dma_addr_t should be used
(instead of uint64_t, hwaddr, size_t, int32_t types).

This allows to have &dma_addr_t type portable on 32/64-bit
hosts.

f14fb6c2db dma: Introduce dma_aligned_pow2_mask()
Currently get_naturally_aligned_size() is used by the intel iommu
to compute the maximum invalidation range based on @size which is
a power of 2 while being aligned with the @start address and less
than the maximum range defined by @gaw.

This helper is also useful for other iommu devices (virtio-iommu,
SMMUv3) to make sure IOMMU UNMAP notifiers only are called with
power of 2 range sizes.

Let's move this latter into dma-helpers.c and rename it into
dma_aligned_pow2_mask(). Also rewrite the helper so that it
accomodates UINT64_MAX values for the size mask and max mask.
It now returns a mask instead of a size. Change the caller.
