Commit f61fe11aa6 broke hmp_loadvm() by adding an incorrect negation
when converting from 0/-errno return values to a bool value. The result
is that loadvm resumes the VM now if it failed and keeps it stopped if
it failed. Fix it to restore the old behaviour and do it the other way
around.

The QMP dispatcher coroutine holds the qmp_queue_lock over a yield
point, where it expects to be rescheduled from the main context. If a
CHR_EVENT_CLOSED event is received just then, it can race and block the
main thread on the mutex in monitor_qmp_cleanup_queue_and_resume.
monitor_resume does not need to be called from main context, so we can
call it immediately after popping a request from the queue, which allows
us to drop the qmp_queue_lock mutex before yielding.

This policy suppresses deprecated bits in output, and thus permits
"testing the future". Implement it for QMP command query-qmp-schema:

QMP commands return their response as a generated QAPI type, which the
monitor core converts to JSON via QObject.
query-qmp-schema's response is the generated introspection data. This
is a QLitObject since commit 7d0f982bfb "qapi: generate a literal
qobject for introspection", v2.12). Before, it was a string. Instead
of converting QLitObject / string -> QObject -> QAPI type
SchemaInfoList -> QObject -> JSON, we take a shortcut: the command is
'gen': false, so it can return the QObject instead of the QAPI type.
Slightly simpler and more efficient.
The next commit will filter the response for output policy, and this
is easier in the SchemaInfoList representation. Drop the shortcut.
This replaces the manual command registration by a generated one. The
manual registration makes the command available before the machine is
built by passing flag QCO_ALLOW_PRECONFIG. To keep it available
there, we need need to add 'allow-preconfig': true to its definition
in the schema.

This switches the HMP command object_add from a QemuOpts-based parser to
user_creatable_add_from_str() which uses a keyval parser and enforces
the QAPI schema.
Apart from being a cleanup, this makes non-scalar properties and help
accessible. In order for help to be printed to the monitor instead of
stdout, the printf() calls in the help functions are changed to
qemu_printf().

This converts object-add from 'gen': false to the ObjectOptions QAPI
type. As an immediate benefit, clients can now use QAPI schema
introspection for user creatable QOM objects.
It is also the first step towards making the QAPI schema the only
external interface for the creation of user creatable objects. Once all
other places (HMP and command lines of the system emulator and all
tools) go through QAPI, too, some object implementations can be
simplified because some checks (e.g. that mandatory options are set) are
already performed by QAPI, and in another step, QOM boilerplate code
could be generated from the schema.

The generic 'migrate_set_parameters' command handle all types of param.
Only the QMP commands were documented in the deprecations page, but the
rationale for deprecating applies equally to HMP, and the replacements
exist. Furthermore the HMP commands are just shims to the QMP commands,
so removing the latter breaks the former unless they get re-implemented.

Before this patch, monitor_qmp_dispatcher_co() used to check whether
shutdown is requested only when it would have to wait for new requests.
If there were still some queued requests, it would try to execute all of
them before shutting down.
This can be surprising when the queued QMP commands take long or hang
because Ctrl-C may not actually exit QEMU as soon as possible.
Change monitor_qmp_dispatcher_co() so that it additionally checks
whether shutdown is request before it gets a new request from the queue.

Commit 357bda95 already tried to fix the order in monitor_cleanup() by
moving shutdown of the dispatcher coroutine further to the start.
However, it didn't go far enough:
iothread_stop() makes sure that all pending work (bottom halves) in the
AioContext of the monitor iothread is completed. iothread_destroy()
depends on this and fails an assertion if there is still a pending BH.
While the dispatcher coroutine is running, it will try to resume the
monitor after taking a request out of the queue, which involves a BH.
The dispatcher is run until it terminates in the AIO_WAIT_WHILE() loop.
However, adding new BHs between iothread_stop() and iothread_destroy()
is forbidden.
Fix this by stopping the dispatcher first before shutting down the other
parts of the monitor. This means we can now receive requests that aren't
handled any more when QEMU is shutting down, but this is unlikely to be
a problem for QMP clients.

The traditional HMP "savevm" command will overwrite an existing snapshot
if it already exists with the requested name. This new flag allows this
to be controlled allowing for safer behaviour with a future QMP command.

When running snapshot operations, there are various rules for which
blockdevs are included/excluded. While this provides reasonable default
behaviour, there are scenarios that are not well handled by the default
logic. Some of the conditions do not have a single correct answer.
Thus there needs to be a way for the mgmt app to provide an explicit
list of blockdevs to perform snapshots across. This can be achieved
by passing a list of node names that should be used.

The bdrv_all_*_snapshot functions return a BlockDriverState pointer
for the invalid backend, which the callers then use to report an
error message. In some cases multiple callers are reporting the
same error message, but with slightly different text. In the future
there will be more error scenarios for some of these methods, which
will benefit from fine grained error message reporting. So it is
helpful to push error reporting down a level.

Commit 741d4086c8 "migration: Use proper types in json" (v2.12.0)
switched MigrationParameters to narrower integer types, and removed
the simplified qmp_migrate_set_parameters()'s argument checking
accordingly.
Good idea, except qmp_migrate_set_parameters() takes
MigrateSetParameters, not MigrationParameters. Its job is updating
migrate_get_current()->parameters (which *is* of type
MigrationParameters) according to its argument. The integers now get
truncated silently. Reproducer:

monitor_qmp_dispatcher_co() needs to resume the monitor if
handle_qmp_command() suspended it. Two cases:
1. OOB enabled: suspended if mon->qmp_requests has no more space
2. OOB disabled: suspended always
We resume only after we processed the request. Which can take a long
time.
Resume the monitor right when the queue has space to keep the monitor
available for out-of-band commands even in this corner case.
Leave the "OOB disabled" case alone.

The qmp-cmds.c file currently includes ui/vnc.h, which (being located
in the ui/ directory rather than include) is really supposed to be
for use only by the ui subsystem. In fact the function prototypes we
need (vnc_display_password(), etc) are all declared in
include/ui/console.h, so we can switch to including that instead.
(ui/vnc.h includes include/ui/console.h, so this change strictly
reduces the quantity of headers qmp-cmds.c pulls in.)

The HMP command \"change vnc TARGET\" is messy:
- it takes an ugly shortcut to determine if the option has an "id",
with incorrect results if "id=" is not preceded by an unescaped
comma.
- it deletes the existing QemuOpts and does not try to rollback
if the parsing fails (which is not causing problems, but only due to
how VNC options are parsed)
- because it uses the same parsing function as "-vnc", it forces
the latter to not support "-vnc help".
On top of this, it uses a deprecated QMP command, thus getting in
the way of removing the QMP command. Since the usecase for the
command is not clear, just remove it and send "change vnc password"
directly to the QMP "change-vnc-password" command.

qobject_to_json() and qobject_to_json_pretty() build a GString, then
covert it to QString. Just one of the callers actually needs a
QString: qemu_rbd_parse_filename(). A few others need a string they
can modify: qmp_send_response(), qga's send_response(), to_json_str(),
and qmp_fd_vsend_fds(). The remainder just need a string.
Change qobject_to_json() and qobject_to_json_pretty() to return the
GString.
qemu_rbd_parse_filename() now has to convert to QString. All others
save a QString temporary. to_json_str() actually becomes a bit
simpler, because GString provides more convenient modification
functions.

GString has a richer set of string operations than QString. It should
be preferred to QString except where we need a QObject or reference

Anywhere we create a list of just one item or by prepending items
(typically because order doesn't matter), we can use
QAPI_LIST_PREPEND(). But places where we must keep the list in order
by appending remain open-coded until later patches.
Note that as a side effect, this also performs a cleanup of two minor
issues in qga/commands-posix.c: the old code was performing
new = g_malloc0(sizeof(*ret));
which 1) is confusing because you have to verify whether 'new' and
'ret' are variables with the same type, and 2) would conflict with C++
compilation (not an actual problem for this file, but makes
copy-and-paste harder).

Add a QMP command to allow for the behaviors specified by the
-no-reboot and -no-shutdown command line option to be set at runtime.
The new command is named set-action and takes optional arguments, named

Move post-preconfig initialization to the x-exit-preconfig. If preconfig
is not requested, just exit preconfig mode immediately with the QMP
command.
As a result, the preconfig loop will run with accel_setup_post
and os_setup_post restrictions (xen_restrict, chroot, etc.)
already done.

The preconfig state is only used if -incoming is not specified, which
makes the RunState state machine more tricky than it need be. However
there is already an equivalent condition which works even with -incoming,
namely qdev_hotplug. Use it instead of a separate runstate.

AMD SEV allows a guest owner to inject a secret blob
into the memory of a virtual machine. The secret is
encrypted with the SEV Transport Encryption Key and
integrity is guaranteed with the Transport Integrity
Key. Although QEMU facilitates the injection of the
launch secret, it cannot access the secret.

"netdev_add help" is causing QEMU to exit because the code that
invokes show_netdevs is shared between CLI and HMP processing.
Move the check to the callers so that exit(0) remains only
in the CLI flow.
"netdev_add help" is not fixed by this patch; that is left for
later work.

Thanks to the monitors' coroutine support (merge commit b7092cda1b),
the screendump handler can trigger a graphic_hw_update(), yield and let
the main loop run until update is done. Then the handler is resumed, and
ppm_save() will write the screen image to disk in the coroutine context.
The IO is still blocking though, as the file is set blocking so far,
this could be addressed by some future change (with other caveats).

Add QemuSpiceOps struct. This struct holds function pointers to the
spice functions. It will be initialized with pointers to the stub
functions. When spice gets initialized the function pointers will
be re-written to the real functions.
The spice stubs will move from qemu-spice.h to spice-module.c for that,
because they will be needed for both "CONFIG_SPICE=n" and "CONFIG_SPICE=y
but spice module not loaded" cases.
This patch adds the infrastructure and starts with moving
qemu_spice_migrate_info() to QemuSpiceOps.

Often, QMP command handlers are not only called to handle QMP commands,
but also from a corresponding HMP command handler. In order to give them
a consistent environment, optionally run HMP command handlers in a
coroutine, too.
The implementation is a lot simpler than in QMP because for HMP, we
still block the VM while the coroutine is running.

This moves the QMP dispatcher to a coroutine and runs all QMP command
handlers that declare 'coroutine': true in coroutine context so they
can avoid blocking the main loop while doing I/O or waiting for other
events.
For commands that are not declared safe to run in a coroutine, the
dispatcher drops out of coroutine context by calling the QMP command
handler from a bottom half.

This way, a monitor command handler will still be able to access the
current monitor, but when it yields, all other code code will correctly
get NULL from monitor_cur().
This uses a hash table to map the coroutine pointer to the current
monitor of that coroutine. Outside of coroutine context, we associate
the current monitor with the leader coroutine of the current thread.
Approaches to implement some form of coroutine local storage directly in
the coroutine core code have been considered and discarded because they
didn't end up being much more generic than the hash table and their
performance impact on coroutines not using coroutine local storage was
unclear. As the block layer uses a coroutine per I/O request, this is a
fast path and we have to be careful. It's safest to just stay out of
this path with code only used by the monitor.

The current monitor is updated relatively early in the command handling
code even though only the command handler actually needs it.
The current monitor will become coroutine-local later, so we can only
update it when we know in which coroutine the command will be exectued.
Move it to handle_hmp_command() where this information will be

monitors, therefore such declarations and definitions are
irrelevant for user-mode emulation.
Extracting the PCI commands to their own schema reduces the size of
the qapi-misc* headers generated, and pulls less QAPI-generated code
into user-mode.

clang's C11 atomic_fetch_*() functions only take a C11 atomic type
pointer argument. QEMU uses direct types (int, etc) and this causes a
compiler error when a QEMU code calls these functions in a source file
that also included <stdatomic.h> via a system header file:

../util/async.c:79:17: error: address argument to atomic operation must be a pointer to _Atomic type ('unsigned int *' invalid)
Avoid using atomic_*() names in QEMU's atomic.h since that namespace is
used by <stdatomic.h>. Prefix QEMU's APIs with 'q' so that atomic.h
and <stdatomic.h> can co-exist. I checked /usr/include on my machine and
searched GitHub for existing "qatomic_" users but there seem to be none.
This patch was generated using:

Currently code has to call monitor_fdset_get_fd, then dup
the return fd, and then add the duplicate FD back into the
fdset. This dance is overly verbose for the caller and
introduces extra failure modes which can be avoided by
folding all the logic into monitor_fdset_dup_fd_add and
removing monitor_fdset_get_fd entirely.

All Meson executables should specify their dependencies explicitly, either
directly or indirectly via declare_dependency. Makefiles instead did
not propagate dependencies correctly from static libraries, for example.
Therefore, flags for dependencies need not be included in QEMU_CFLAGS.
LIBS is not used at all, so drop that one as well.
In a few cases the dependencies were not yet specified, so add them.

This migration parameter allows mapping block node names and bitmap
names to aliases for the purpose of block dirty bitmap migration.
This way, management tools can use different node and bitmap names on
the source and destination and pass the mapping of how bitmaps are to be
transferred to qemu (on the source, the destination, or even both with
arbitrary aliases in the migration stream).
While touching this code, fix a bug where bitmap names longer than 255
bytes would fail an assertion in qemu_put_counted_string().

Meson doesn't enjoy the same flexibility we have with Make in choosing
the include path. In particular the tracing headers are using
$(build_root)/$(<D).
In order to keep the include directives unchanged,
the simplest solution is to generate headers with patterns like
"trace/trace-audio.h" and place forwarding headers in the source tree
such that for example "audio/trace.h" includes "trace/trace-audio.h".
This patch is too ugly to be applied to the Makefiles now. It's only
a way to separate the changes to the tracing header files from the
Meson rewrite of the tracing logic.

Let's register the notifier and trigger the qapi event with the right
device id.
MEMORY_DEVICE_SIZE_CHANGE is similar to BALLOON_CHANGE, however on a
memory device level.
Don't unregister the notifier (we neither have finalize() nor unrealize()
for VirtIOPCIProxy, so it's not that simple to do it) - both devices are
expected to vanish at the same time.
