On the powernv9 and powernv10 machines, the PSIHB interrupts are
currently initialized with a PQ state of 0b01, i.e. interrupts are
disabled. However real hardware initializes them to 0b00 for the
PSIHB. This patch updates it, in case an hypervisor is in the mood of
checking it.

skiboot only uses mmio to access the PSI registers (once the BAR is
set) but we don't have any reason to block the accesses through
xscom. This patch enables xscom access to the PSI registers. It
converts the xscom addresses to mmio addresses, which requires a bit
of care for the PSIHB, then reuse the existing mmio ops.

On HW, the PSI and FSP interrupt levels are muxed under the same
interrupt number. For coding reasons, an extra IRQ number was
introduced to index register values in an array. It increased the
count of IRQs which do not fit in the PSI IRQ range anymore.
The PSI and FSP interrupts should be modeled with an extra level of
GPIO lines but since QEMU does not support them, simply drop the extra
number to stay within the IRQ range.

informing the XIVE interrupt controller that the PQ bits have been
checked at the source or not. Depending on the value, the IC can
perform the check and the state transition locally using its own PQ
state bits.
The following changes add new accessors to the XiveRouter required to
query and update the PQ state bits. This only applies to the PowerNV
machine. sPAPR accessors are provided but the pSeries machine should
not be concerned by such complex configuration for the moment.

The pnv_psi.c code uses device_legacy_reset() for two purposes:
* to reset itself from its qemu_register_reset() handler
* to reset a XiveSource object it has
Neither it nor the XiveSource have any qbuses, so the new
device_cold_reset() function (which resets both the device and its
child buses) is equivalent here to device_legacy_reset() and we can
just switch to the new API.

Not exactly elegant, I'm afraid.
The "when != lbl:" is necessary to avoid transforming
if (fun(args, &err)) {
goto out
}
...
out:
error_propagate(errp, err);
even though other paths to label out still need the error_propagate().
For an actual example, see sclp_realize().
Without the "when strict", Coccinelle transforms vfio_msix_setup(),
incorrectly. I don't know what exactly "when strict" does, only that
it helps here.
The match of return is narrower than what I want, but I can't figure
out how to express "return where the operand doesn't use @err". For
an example where it's too narrow, see vfio_intx_enable().

The only way object_property_add() can fail is when a property with
the same name already exists. Since our property names are all
hardcoded, failure is a programming error, and the appropriate way to
handle it is passing &error_abort.
Same for its variants, except for object_property_add_child(), which
additionally fails when the child already has a parent. Parentage is
also under program control, so this is a programming error, too.
We have a bit over 500 callers. Almost half of them pass
&error_abort, slightly fewer ignore errors, one test case handles
errors, and the remaining few callers pass them to their own callers.
The previous few commits demonstrated once again that ignoring
programming errors is a bad idea.
Of the few ones that pass on errors, several violate the Error API.
The Error ** argument must be NULL, &error_abort, &error_fatal, or a
pointer to a variable containing NULL. Passing an argument of the
latter kind twice without clearing it in between is wrong: if the
first call sets an error, it no longer points to NULL for the second
call. ich9_pm_add_properties(), sparc32_ledma_realize(),
sparc32_dma_realize(), xilinx_axidma_realize(), xilinx_enet_realize()
are wrong that way.
When the one appropriate choice of argument is &error_abort, letting
users pick the argument is a bad idea.
Drop parameter @errp and assert the preconditions instead.
There's one exception to "duplicate property name is a programming
error": the way object_property_add() implements the magic (and
undocumented) "automatic arrayification". Don't drop @errp there.
Instead, rename object_property_add() to object_property_try_add(),
and add the obvious wrapper object_property_add().

The Processor Service Interface (PSI) model has a chip_type class level
attribute, which is used to generate the content of the "compatible" DT
property according to the CPU type.
Since the PSI model already has specialized classes for each supported
CPU type, it seems cleaner to achieve this with QOM. Provide the content
of the "compatible" property with a new class level attribute.

The ICS object has both a pointer and an ICS_PROP_XICS property pointing
to the XICS fabric. Confusing bugs could arise if these ever go out of

Change the property definition so that it explicitely sets the pointer.
The property isn't optional : not being able to set the link is a bug
and QEMU should rather abort than exit in this case.

TYPE_ICS_SIMPLE is the only subtype of TYPE_ICS_BASE that's ever
instantiated. The existence of different classes is mostly a hang
over from when we (misguidedly) had separate subtypes for the KVM and
non-KVM version of the device.
There could be some call for an abstract base type for ICS variants
that use a different representation of their state (PowerNV PHB3 might
want this). The current split isn't really in the right place for
that though. If we need this in future, we can re-implement it more
in line with what we actually need.
So, collapse the two classes together into just TYPE_ICS.

In my "build everything" tree, changing hw/qdev-properties.h triggers
a recompile of some 2700 out of 6600 objects (not counting tests and
objects that don't depend on qemu/osdep.h).
Many places including hw/qdev-properties.h (directly or via hw/qdev.h)
actually need only hw/qdev-core.h. Include hw/qdev-core.h there
instead.
hw/qdev.h is actually pointless: all it does is include hw/qdev-core.h
and hw/qdev-properties.h, which in turn includes hw/qdev-core.h.
Replace the remaining uses of hw/qdev.h by hw/qdev-properties.h.
While there, delete a few superfluous inclusions of hw/qdev-core.h.
Touching hw/qdev-properties.h now recompiles some 1200 objects.

hw/hw.h supposedly includes it for convenience. Several other headers

The PSI bridge on POWER9 is very similar to POWER8. The BAR is still
set through XSCOM but the controls are now entirely done with MMIOs.
More interrupts are defined and the interrupt controller interface has
changed to XIVE. The POWER9 model is a first example of the usage of
the notify() handler of the XiveNotifier interface, linking the PSI
XiveSource to its owning device model.

Both functions, object_initialize() and object_property_add_child() increase
the reference counter of the new object, so one of the references has to be
dropped afterwards to get the reference counting right. Otherwise the child
object will not be properly cleaned up when the parent gets destroyed.
Thus let's use now object_initialize_child() instead to get the reference
counting here right.
