Richard Henderson f01847c251 tcg: Simplify calls to temp_sync vs mem_coherent
The first thing that temp_sync does is check mem_coherent,
so there's no need for the caller to do so.

Richard Henderson 568e010b89 tcg: Remove check_regs
We now check the consistency of reg_to_temp[] with each update,
so the utility of checking consistency at the end of each

quite expensive, consuming 10% of a checking-enabled build.

Icenowy Zheng 9dd1d56e57 tcg/tci: fix logic error when registering helpers via FFI
When registering helpers via FFI for TCI, the inner loop that iterates
parameters of the helper reuses (and thus pollutes) the same variable
used by the outer loop that iterates all helpers, thus made some helpers
unregistered.

Fix this logic error by using a dedicated temporary variable for the
inner loop.

Leandro Lupori 20add58829 tcg/ppc: Optimize 26-bit jumps
PowerPC64 processors handle direct branches better than indirect
ones, resulting in less stalled cycles and branch misses.

However, PPC's tb_target_set_jmp_target() was only using direct
branches for 16-bit jumps, while PowerPC64's unconditional branch
instructions are able to handle displacements of up to 26 bits.
To take advantage of this, now jumps whose displacements fit in
between 17 and 26 bits are also converted to direct branches.

With TCG_OPF_COND_BRANCH, we extended the lifetimes of

Richard Henderson 76cff100be tcg/arm: Don't emit UNPREDICTABLE LDRD with Rm == Rt or Rt+1
The LDRD (register) instruction is UNPREDICTABLE if the Rm register
is the same as either Rt or Rt+1 (the two registers being loaded to).
We weren't making sure we avoided this, with the result that on some
host CPUs like the Cortex-A7 we would get a SIGILL because the CPU
chooses to UNDEF for this particular UNPREDICTABLE case.

Since we've already checked that datalo is aligned, we can simplify
the test vs the Rm operand by aligning it before comparison. Check
for the two orderings before falling back to two ldr instructions.

We don't bother to do anything similar for tcg_out_ldrd_rwb(),
because it is only used in tcg_out_tlb_read() with a fixed set of
registers which don't overlap.

There is no equivalent UNPREDICTABLE case for STRD.

Richard Henderson 2ccf40f00e tcg/tci: Use tcg_out_ldst in tcg_out_st
The tcg_out_ldst helper will handle out-of-range offsets.
We haven't actually encountered any, since we haven't run
across the assert within tcg_out_op_rrs, but an out-of-range
offset would not be impossible in future.

Richard Henderson 321dbde33a tcg/sparc: Support unaligned access for user-only
This is kinda sorta the opposite of the other tcg hosts, where
we get (normal) alignment checks for free with host SIGBUS and
need to add code to support unaligned accesses.

This inline code expansion is somewhat large, but it takes quite
a few instructions to make a function call to a helper anyway.

Richard Henderson e01d60f211 tcg/sparc: Add tcg_out_jmpl_const for better tail calls
Due to mapping changes, we now rarely place the code_gen_buffer
near the main executable. Which means that direct calls will
now rarely be in range.

So, always use indirect calls for tail calls, which allows us to
avoid clobbering %o7, and therefore we need not save and restore it.

When BH is constant, it is constrained to 11 bits for use in MOVCC.
For the cases in which we must load the constant BH into a register,
we do not need the full logic of tcg_out_movi; we can use the simpler
function for emitting a 13 bit constant.

This eliminates the only case in which TCG_REG_T2 was passed to
tcg_out_movi, which will shortly become invalid.

Richard Henderson b9537d5904 tcg/arm: Reduce vector alignment requirement for NEON
With arm32, the ABI gives us 8-byte alignment for the stack.
While it's possible to realign the stack to provide 16-byte alignment,
it's far easier to simply not encode 16-byte alignment in the
VLD1 and VST1 instructions that we emit.

Remove the assertion in temp_allocate_frame, limit natural alignment
to the provided stack alignment, and add a comment.

This is a counterpart to the HMP "info opcount" command. It is being

For constant shifts, we can simply shift the s_mask.

For variable shifts, we know that sar does not reduce
the s_mask, which helps for sequences like

    ext32s_i64 t, in
    sar_i64 t, t, v
    ext32s_i64 out, t

allowing the final extend to be eliminated.
